To load the batteries
1. Open the battery door as shown.
2. Insert four AAA batteries into thecompartment. Make sure that the
batteries are positioned to
coincide with the positive and
negative (+ and -) terminals.
3. Close the battery door.
You are now readyto take pictures!

To take a picture
Turn on the camera
The green power light on the backof the camera indicates that the power
is on.
If the green power light is not on,
check to make sure the batteries are
properly loaded.

To take a pictureFrame your picture through the cameras view-finder.
Hold the camera steady and press the shutter
button. Continue holding the camera steady
until you hear a beep. The beep indicates thata picture has been taken.
The picture counter on the back of the
camera signifies you how many pictures
you have stored in your camera's memory.
If you accidently leave the power to the camera on while
it is not in use, it will enter into a Power Saving Mode (to conserve battery power).
When the camera enters this mode, it will begin to beep until you either use it again
or turn the power off.
To take a picture while the camera is in Power Saving Mode, compose your pictureand press the shutter button. The camera will turn on and take the picture normally.

To download picturesTo install your camera for the first time:

Place the included CD into the
CD-ROM drive. Double click on the CD iconthat appears on the desktop. Double
click on "Dsc Pro Installer" to install the
drivers. Your computer will ask you
to restart. Click "Restart"
Connect the USB cableto the corresponding port on your
computer. *Note: Do not use the
USB ports on the keyboard. The
ports do not supply enough power
to the camera.
Connect the 6-pin DIN cable to the
6-pin DIN port on the camera

4 Turn on the camera. The pictures will start to automatically downloadto your hard drive into the directory Dsc Pro Photos.
A status window will appear indicating the number of pictures downloaded.

To erase imagesAfter downloading the pictures, a window
will pop up prompting:
DSC Pro Digital Camera
# of # pictures saved.
"Empty the camera?"
Click "Yes" to erase all the pictures
contained on the camera.
(Note: It's a good idea to erase the images from your camera after you download them to your computer. This will prevent duplicatingyour pictures.)

Using the self-timerYour DSC Pro camera comes with an
easy-to-use self-timer function.
Use this function to capture groupphotos without having to exclude the
photographer.
It is recommended that you use a tripod unit
with this feature. A tripod keeps the camera
steady and level while taking the picture.Thus, ensuring that your pictures come out
clear and sharp.
A tripod mount has been placed on the bottom
of the camera for your convenience. The mount
can be used with a standard tripod unit

Using the self-timer1 Compose your picture in the

3 The camera beeps rapidly,
increasing in pace for
approximately 10 seconds.

1. bL : Battery power is low
2. FL: Camera's memory is full
3. LL : Low Lighting conditions (Use flash)
4. nF : Flash setting is off
5. AF : Auto Flash
6. F : Flash setting is on
7. Sd : System shutdown.The camera has been idle for about
2 minutes
8. Po : Power errorSolution: Reset the camera by turning
it off and then turn it back on.Retake the picture.
