0.16 The Head load is to be considered while preparing detailed rate analysis for inaccessible areawhere shifting of materials by head load is necessary.The excavation items for building & C.D. works are inclusive of normal manual dewatering . Ifpumping is required additional item for dewatering shall be introduced while framing theestimate, on BHP basis with prior permission of S.E.BUILDING WORKS :-

0.14 References of P.W.D. standard specification,and M.O.R.T. & H. specification Edition 2001 areobligatory.

0.15 This schedule of rates is applicable to all building works , road works, bridges, culverts workscarried out by all agencies in areas of Thane District.

0.12 The rates for items pertaining to Parks and Gardens, shall be taken from the C.S.R. ofSuperintendent, Parks and Gardens, Mumbai.

0.13 While calculating part rate or reduced rate etc., necessary overhead charges, sundries etc.should be proportionately considered as per rate abstract.

0.10 Items required for water supply and sanitary works, which are not included in this D.S.R. theC.S.R. of Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran in the district is to be adopted.

0.11 The rates of machinery hire charges shall be as per the machinery use rates of IrrigationDepartment issued by the Chief Engineer (Mech), Nasik.

0.09 The rates for labour and materials are included in the D.S.R. for the purpose of preparing rateanalysis. The labour rates shown against the completed items are based on minimum labourwages as per letter dated 04/02/2008 of Labour Commissioner . Whenever the item splitup incomponent i.e. labour, material, and machinery executed each seperately it should beensured that the rate of completed item does not exceed the concerned item rate sanctioned inD.S.R.

The completed item rates are inclusive of 1% Labour amenity charges as per Govt. P.W.Department's circular No. DSR-1090/CR-6453/plan-3 dated 14.7.1993.

Quality control testing charges are considered in the rate analysis.are 0.50%0.08 Items required for testing of soils, road and building materials, mix designs, Job-mix etc. the

schedule of testing charges of Superintending Engineer, Vigilance and Quality Control Circle,Navi Mumbai and load test, plate load test etc. the C.S.R. of Maharashtra EngineeringResearch Institute (MERI), Nasik shall be adopted.

For cost towards procurement and temporary storage of water for construction purpose,provision of 1% in the rate analysis is made. In difficult situation where water is not available inreasonable lead or where water charges are essentially required to be paid to local authoritiesetc., the assessment of cost of procurement of water for construction may be made on factualdata. If this cost of procurement of water required for construction is more than 1%, then foradditional cost (i.e. more than 1%) seperate provision should be made in the estimate andtender papers based on actual rate analysis approved .

Basic Rates of rubble, Khandkies, metal, Murum, Sand, aggregates, bricks, earth forembankment filling, considered in this schedule are including Royalty charges, as per ¶ÉɺÉxÉÊxÉhÉÇªÉ Gò. ¨É½þºÉÚ±É ´É ´ÉxÉ Ê´É¦ÉÉMÉ Gò.MÉÉèJÉÊxÉ 10/2001/|É.Gò. 24/JÉ ¨ÉÆjÉɱɪÉ, ¨ÉÖƤÉ<Ç 400 032 Ênù.15/12/2006 And it is not refundable

d) The rates to be entered in schedule 'A' of the tender should be the actual stock issue ratesbut should not be less than above rates, difference in issue rates if any may be added ordeducted as per actual rates. The overhead charges also be added or deducted to thedifference in issue rates as per the case may be. Rates for completed items are based on aminimum initial lead of 5 Km. except bitumen. Actual lead charges for lead beyond 5 Km. shallbe added while framing the estimate. The rates adopted are as per market rates which includesSales tax and other taxes.

b) Lead charges are given in the statement C-1 for major items such as lime, murum,earth, building rubble, sand, stone aggregate, soling stone, concrete blocks, timber,cement, steel, bulk asphalt, bricks, Roofing tiles, all types of flooring, R.C.C. pipes etc.Statement C-2 is for loading, unloading and stacking charges.

Reference of M.O.R.T. & H. Standard data book for analysis of Rates 2003 is taken forpreparation of National Highway D.S.R.

TRANSPORTATION CHARGES :a) Lead charges for various material given in statement C 1, are including

loading,unloading & over head charges, hence these charges should not be seperately

The rates of supplying R.C.C. pipes at site of work shall be adopted as per MSSIDCrate contract, plus 10% overhead charges while preparation of estimates.

NATIONAL HIGHWAYTo maintain barricades, light and flag men as necessary at either end of theconstruction area and at such intermediate points as directed by the Engineer and allarrangement for the traffic during construction including maintenance thereof butexcluding initial dressing and/ or extra treatment to shoulders/ verge and constructionof temperor diversion shall be considered incidental to the work and contractor'sresponsibility, and no provision for the same is to be made in the estimate.

The quantities required for various finished items of work as specified are inclusive ofpermissible wastage hence no separate provision shal be made while framing theestimate.

For E.G.S. works like earthwork in embankment, Items following the specifications mentionedin Rd-13 Page No.194 shall invariably be used while framing the estimate.a) The D.S.R. rates for bridge items are for works in normal conditions of site. Wherever

bridges are to be constructed in special site conditions such as bridge on creek havingtidal effects/in standing water of perennial river, the detailed rate analysis shall beprepared and the same shall be got approved from the concerned Superintending Rates for excavation for Bridges/C.D. Works/Sakav are considered for initial lift of 1.50

mtr., and charges for additional lift above 1.50 mtr. shall be added as below.

e) For working out items of additional leads more than 5.00 km., the estimate shluld beprepared for actual leads by deducting initial lead charges of 5.00 km. for allcompleted items.

d) For all items of cement concrete, plain or reinforced cement concrete, stone masonarythe initial lead for metal, sand, stone, cement & steel is considered as 5.00 km.
