LOW ADDITIVE EATING BLOG

Sodium Benzoate (E211) is a preservative you might find in a range of products – from cordial, soft drink, to sauces, relish, baked goods, and lollies. It may be associated with hyperactivity, nettle rash, allergic reactions and asthmatic

attacks.

Wholesome-cook.com This website has some great recipes for

making drinks without sugar or additives.

Tea Soda To make Tea Soda: steep 2 tea bags of your

favourite herbal tea (tisane) in 3 cups of boiling water. Chill. Add 1 cup of sparkling mineral or soda water. You’ll have instant flavoured fizzy drink with close to no sugar. Not to mention

the lack of colouring and other additives. Tea flavour infusions to consider: mint, cranberry and pomegranate,

strawberry, blackcurrant, chamomile, lemon.

Lemon Water To make Lemon Water: add a teaspoon of lemon juice to a glass of water and mix well. While you are still having juice without the added benefit of fibre, lemon juice has quite a strong taste which won’t disappear when diluted 10:1 in

the refreshing concoction.

Kindergarten celebrate 100 days at school

Kindergarten was full of fun and games last

Wednesday, when they celebrated being at

school for 100 days. They saw what 100 looks

like & pinned items on a board.

Then they counted fruit loops on a 100’s board

& threaded them on to a necklace. They also

had to count and stack 100 plastic cups and

write about what I would buy if I had $100.

Later they all had a piece of the yummy

100 cake!

Dubbo Stampede Running Festival

The event that often appeals to families is the 5.5km Din-

all around the world. However, the 10km Cheetah Chase,

21.1km Zebra Zoom and the 42.2km Rhino Ramble are

also alternatives.
