Aventurine loves chocolate. Make your own hot chocolate following these simple steps!

INGREDIENTS• 1 cup of milk • a scattering of cinnamon • a small pinch of nutmeg• 25g of 70% dark chocolate (e.g. six squares of a dark chocolate bar)

METHOD 1. Pour the milk into a small saucepan and warm it on the stove on

low heat, adding the cinnamon and nutmeg immediately.

2. Use a whisk to stir the milk and seasonings until the now-� avoured milk is steaming hot, then break the dark chocolate into pieces and drop them in.

3. Whisk until all of the chocolate is completely melted in,then turn o� the stove before the milk can boil.

Mmmm!Remember to ask an adult for help when you’re

cooking hot drinks or using sharp tools!

INGREDIENTS• 300ml double cream • 200g plain chocolate

• marshmallows • fresh strawberries • fresh bananas • anything else you would like to dip in chocolate!

METHOD1. Place a heat-proof bowl in a pan of boiling water.

Add the chocolate and stir in the double cream.

2. Keep stirring until the chocolate melts and the double cream and chocolate are fully incorporated.

3. Pour the mix into a fondue pot (or a simple bowl will do!). Dip in fresh strawberries, banana slices or marshmallows.
