    ` Gujarat started a little late the efforts to bring the

    benefits of ICT in Governance.

    ` Gujarat first conceived a long term scenario for the

    delivery of services and information to the citizens.` Gujarat laid more stress on networking than

    computing power and application software.

    this improved the delivery systems for the citizens.

    year focus and a five year perspective.

    Gswan interconnected all administration nodes at

    the capital city of Gandhinagar, districts and

    talukas.

    The network also include the VSAT system atcentral control station (SC), enabling coverage of

    remote locations in the state which are not a part

    of designed network.

    The network topology was conceived as three tierstructure and design.

    It was an innovative example of using and

    converging technologies for E-Governance.
