Church & Pastor's Anniversary Celebration "Fun Night" is today, Saturday, November 15, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.

The Church and Pastor’s Anniversary will be celebrated on today with fun games and activities for everyone! The activities will be held in the Church and the Family Life Center. Games and activities to include: Family Feud Game, Movies, Scrabble Board Game, Card Games (Spades and Bid Whist), children’s activities, Karaoke, and Line Dancing. Looking forward to seeing everybody for this evening of fun fellowship. ***********

In November, Macedonia will celebrate its 106th year and 18 years of Pastor Hamlin’s leadership! The revivalist w ho w ill bless us this w eek, on Wednesday, November 19th, is Bishop Herber M. Brown, II. Do not come alone, invite your family, friends, acquaintances, co-workers and neighbors to join you. ************ Flu Shots at Macedonia Rite Aid will be at Macedonia to administer flu shots immediately after the 10:45 am service on this Sunday, November 16, 2014. Rite Aid will accept insurance coverage, so don't forget to bring your insurance cards. Anyone (adult or child) who does not have insurance, the cost will be $32. Flu season is upon us and it is important to prevent this illness.

************ S.H.A.R.E. distr ibution day is Saturday, Novem ber 22 from 6:30am —8:45am in the Multipurpose Room. This is a time to show your generosity by lending a hand to help unload the truck and assemble the S.H.A.R.E. packages. ************ Trustee meeting with Directors and Coordinators: The Trustee Ministry requests the presence of all Directors and Coordinators to attend a meeting on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10:00am in the Multipurpose Room. We will be discussing MBC policies and procedures that will impact each ministry. Also, we will be addressing the process between the budget request and the Event Planning Packets and the responsibility of the event coordinator to receive approval for the proposed event. It is imperative that we all come together on one accord to do ministry work smart, efficient, effective, and pleasing to GOD.

Thanksgiving Service is Thursday, November 27, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3500 South 19th Street, Arlington, VA 22204.

Christian Education Ministries: Discipleship classes will resume Tuesday, December 2 and Thursday, December 4, 2014. ************ The Event Planning Ministry is looking for servants to be a part of this Ministry. If you are interested in assisting with the planning of all MBC events, please send an email to [email protected] or contact the church office. ************ The InterChurch Community Health Initiative Ministry is bringing to your attention the following health initiative for you to take advantage: The Virginia Hospital Center is also offering a Bereavement Workshop from November 16—December 18, 2014. On Saturday, November 14, 2015, we are going back to the Sight and Sound Theater to see the Miracle of Christmas!! Join us, as we go back in time to follow the extraordinary journey of Mary and Joseph and witness the greatest birth in history, the miraculous birth of Jesus the Savior! There is plenty of time to make plans to join us and we have an extended period to make your payments so start early. Planning is underway for the 2015 Feel the Heritage Festival, the annual celebra-tion to honor Arlington’s African-American heritage during Black History Month. We are asking a few volunteers to represent MBC at this event. MBC would have a display with some give-away items that will be supplied. You will also speak with visitors at the MBC display and invite them to worship with MBC. I hope this note finds you well. Drew Model School is in desperate need of volunteers to serve as Book Buddies. Book Buddies is a one-on-one community volunteer tutorial program. It is research-based, cost effective, demonstrates long lasting literacy gains, and facilitates mentor relationships for young children and community members. All training and materials are provided. Currently we have 20 students signed up for the program but only one volunteer reader. Please, share the attached flyer with your members. As always, thank you for all that you do for Drew Model School. You make a huge difference in our students' lives. Bible Study Schedule 7pm

Each 1st Wednesday will be Corporate Prayer and Praise. Everyone is encouragedand invited to attend.

Every 2nd Wednesday of the month will be Pastor’s Bible Study which is open toeveryone.

Every 3rd Wednesday of the month will be Men’s and Women’s Bible Study.

Each 4th Wednesday will be Young Adult Bible Study.

The 5th Wednesday of each month will be Leadership Night. All leaders of MBCwill meet with Pastor Hamlin.

If you permit them to leave you for restroom breaks, etc., they must return to you at an appropriate time and not be left unsupervised. We appreciate your cooperation.
