FDOT/FTE will issue a request for proposal (RFP) to solicit competitive bids and proposals for the Design/Build project, which consists of converting the northern section of the Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike (HEFT/SR 821) into an all-electronic toll (AET) facility.

DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE) UTILIZATIONThe State of Florida, Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provision of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the regulations of the Department of Commerce (15 C.F.R., Part 8) issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all firms and individuals that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.
