Eco Terra Invest is a young company founded by three individuals with diverse backgrounds and different, but complementary professional skills that share a unique vision and passion for sustainability, affordability and an acute awareness of the impact that climate change and rising world population is having on humanity.

With this consideration we believe that amongst the various needs to make our planet a better place in the future is the development and deployment of sustainable and affordable housing solutions. By introducing a carbon zero energy solution to the equation that can be delivered either as an individual or community based solution we are able to deliver a system that fulfills all the requirements of a sustainable, ecofriendly environment.

Eco Terra Invest is committed to delivering and deploying housing and building solutions that work at a single or collective level, as master plans for villages or towns and changing the way we live by contributing higher and better standards of living to the poor and homeless communities in the world.

Imagine a world that is completely supported by carbon zero power generation and totally sustainable resource free communities. Our mission is to provide sustainable, ecological and affordable housing with a carbon zero footprint to communities. From sourcing materials and manufacturing by using local labour and know how, we aim to provide modern technical solutions that integrate harmoniously within the environment where they are deployed.

Our prime objective is to bring the concept of sustainable, ecological,

carbon zero affordable solutions to populations and communities, with housing

and other infrastructures supported by integrated utilities and self-contained services at a fraction of the normal, traditional cost while delivering worldwide recognized

and approved high standards.

We cater to the needs of individuals, communities and governments with our

solutions.

According to UN HABITAT there are currently more than one billion people living in slums without basic living conditions and it is forecasted that this number will rise to more than two billion by 2030.

More than double this number of people do not have access to sustainable, affordable, stable, healthy, safe and secure shelter with a minimum infrastructure.

Eco Terra Invest promotes affordable and sustainable homes and other buildings with unique construction materials, technology and affordable prices for everyone.

Sustainable Housing & Development

Eco Terra Invest develops its own designs and Intelectual Property (IP) solutions in collaboration with its partners in order to achieve new designs and typologies for new houses and other buildings in accordance to its clients needs, thereby

adding to its own portfolio of houses and auxiliary buildings. The project examples at the end of this brochure demonstrate some of our concepts at project level. Some of the solutions we provide are mentioned in the following sections.

EDUCATIONEducation is one of the pillars of civilization and the barometer that societies and countries can look to as a measure of development. The better the people are educated the better the country develops and stays at

the forefront of progress.

Eco Terra Invest believes in the development and implementation of infrastructures that help communities to take advantage of a good education for the promotion and future of the community and Country to which they belong.That is why we provide and integrate the following infrastructures:

Manufacturing

Eco Terra Invest aims to deliver the most affordable and sustainable systems for houses and other buildings, and is prepared for the deployment and development of ‘factories’ to manufacture the components when the situation arises. This is

usually the case with large orders and where the market has a substantial demand for ‘social housing’ as well as being an anchor for vicinity markets that also have a high demand.Together with our partners, such ‘factories’ can be developed efficiently and speedily to suit the requirements of the locations where they are deployed.

SOCIAL AREASAll communities need areas that support trading, welfare and order, with infrastructures that are designed and made to the specific needs of that individual community. We put emphasis on delivering these

in accordance with those needs by providing and integrating the following solutions:

HEALTHCAREAnother fundamental area of infrastructure for any community are healthcare support amenities, such as Medical Centres, Clinics, Hospitals or other buildings that support fundamental medical services. We

designed and conceived in accordance with the needs and traditions of the community where they are to be implemented.Eco Terra Invest takes great care and advice in the integration of these infrastructures into the community where they are to be erected and built.

PRODUCTION LINEOur aim is to reduce transportation and create work places in the countries we are acting. With the sufficient amount of houses, we are able to erect a complete production line for the sandwich panels. Local

content for the components, such as doors, windows and the steel frame is used whenever possible. Our production lines are designed to produce 500 houses per month. For higher production we prefer to set up a second line, possibly in another region to be as close to the customer as possible. We have a preference for local staff trained by us. In our production site we also train the assembling teams.

ASSEMBLYAssembling our houses is easy. Upon receiving the kit for a small house, all you need is the help of a few neighbours and you can assemble your house within a day. The system is modular and comes with a manual and

an assembling video. For our villas and colonies we offer trained staff to assemble and erect. Our professional teams can erect 100 square meters in a day.

QUALITY CONTROLAll our construction materials have ISO and/or CE certification. Quality control for Eco Terra Invest does not end when your house leaves the factory. Packing, Transport, Storage and Assembly is performed under our supervision following high standards of quality. This is why we can provide a thirty year guarantee on our construction materials.

Sustainable Building Systems

Sustainable housing not only means affordable shelter, but also has to comply with the following criteria:

• Homes have to resist climate conditions, cosy and warm in winter, pleasant in summer, stable against hurricanes and provide protection against heavy rain and flooding; • Homes have to be sustainable, with access to drinking water and waste water disposal, collection of rainwater and circulation of excess rain water to prevent the spread of diseases; • Homes should be in reach of schools & education, shops, health care, jobs and recreation; • Homes should be energy & environmentally friendly, using water & energy in an efficient way; • Homes have to give a social, economic and cultural environment, a neighbourhood, transport & jobs, space for the kids, homes must be the place where people like to live.

EPS SANDWICH PANNELSUsing sandwich as a building method has been known and applied for many years (i.e. wood and rock wool sandwich or drywall panels).Eco Terra Invest promotes unique construction materials & technology by using metallic embossed panel and heat insulation material (or casting foam), so called EPS sandwich panels mounted on or in a steel structure. Even this technology is not new as it is used for warehouses or production lines. Up to now, the limitations have been of an aesthetic nature,

but with the Eco Terra Invest system there are no limitations. Any cladding can be used, from texture or paint for the outside wall to wall paper or ceramicson the inside, and even parquet for the floors. Our sandwich panel houses bring you more advantages.Eco Terra Invest ESP sandwich panel houses:

• are earthquake proof and resist hurricanes up to wind speeds of 12 Bft;

• are fire proof according to international standards; • are environmentally friendly; • are fully recyclable; • have best acoustic and thermal insulation (passive house standard); • are resistant to heavy rainfalls and flooding (when mounted on a chassis); • do not host vermin or rats within the structure; • never have problems with serpula, dry rot or other mildew; • are easy to maintain and clean;

• produce no waste on construction site; • can be constructed to any design, shape and up to four storeys, with any decorative cladding; • last for more than 30 years, guaranteed by the factory.

SOLAR WATER HEATING SYSTEMSSolar water heating doesn’t have to be expensive. As hot water is lighter than cold water, water can circulate without a pump if the hot water reservoir is placed 30 cm above the panels: the sun will do the work and Eco Terra Invest offers complete kits and installation.

WASTE MANAGEMENT, WATER TREATMENT AND SUPPLY AND WASTE WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMSEco Terra Invest has partners with a well established knowledge of these sectors and implements it in the design and planning of the

‘master plans’ for the communities. We also provide advice on individual cases on the best solution to adopt for that particular case.This knowledge applies to housing or industrial facilities and it covers the sectors of waste treatment and management, as well as water supply and its management and complete water treatment systems.

AQUAPONIC SYSTEMSThese systems allow for an increase in self-sufficiency by growing vegetables while having aquaculture within the same system. The main advantage is the avoidance of fertilizers and low water consumption. Water from fish tanks is pumped to the plants growth beds, filtered out and converted by the plants as nutrients. The clean water is then led back to the fish tank. Without the conversion of the fish’s toxic ammonia to nitrates, a special filter for the fish tank would be necessary. Aside from evaporation, the water balance in the system keeps steady. As plantation can be horizontal as well as vertical, aquaponic systems require a third of the space as conventional agriculture. Most of the green leaf vegetables are suitable for aquaponic systems as well as a number of other vegetables and fruits, like tomato, cucumber, egg-plants, sweet potatoes, water melons and even strawberries. The most common and easy to care fish are tilapia. The climate conditions do not make external heating necessary. Additionally, food conversion with

tilapia is better than with other fish species.

TOURISMLeisure and travelling is becoming a very big industry associated to Tourism and the infrastructures that goes with it.Eco Terra Invest is developing affordable but Eco friendly

Units that are easy to erect and blend in the most exotic places, either for active or inactive holidays, as well as quick turn around Hotel Buildings, that put great detail in comfort and wellbeing.

ECO TERRA INVEST HOUSESWe work with Partners that have already developed houses and buildings that adapt themselves to various situations and climates and are very affordable.Eco Terra Invest is developing its own design of houses

and other buildings for Mozambique, Colombia, Portugal and the United Kingdom from orders it has obtained.We can manufacture and deliver any type of building or house that a client requires. By providing us with your design, we provide a quote for its construction, delivery and erection. All a client has to do is provide the infrastructure and access to water, sewage and electricity if they do not want to opt for our ‘eco power solution’ and any other amenities that we can provide. We will do the rest for their “Ideal Home”.

In simple terms these are the power distribution networks that take electricity to each house and building to power all the utilities and appliances in these buildings.Eco Terra Invest aims to create and develop these with its partners (www.storgeneration.com) in a way that the community can be totally self-sustainable through the use of solar panels, accumulators (batteries), wind turbines, biofuel backup generators, etc. These are all connected through a smart grid that balances the different electricity needs in each house and building, making it a totally sustainable and carbon zero free system.
