Taiganji 太巌寺（wisteria）One of the most popular wisteria view-ing spots in Mie prefecture. The tree is about 130 years old. It is adorned with prominent more than one-meter-long flower clusters.

Countless full-bloomed cherry trees adorn Kan-nonyama Park within the Suzuka Quasi-National Park. Various events are held there.

正法寺山荘跡（Cherry trees）It is a site of the castle of the feudal lord who governed this region. This important historical site was designated as a national cultural property of Japan in January 1981. Today, the castle is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot with some 200 cherry trees, and attracts numerous visitors.

Beginning of April

Sekijuku Natsu Matsuri 関宿夏まつりIt is a traditional event that continues since the Edo Period. The parade features four beautifully decorated floats. At its peak, sixteen such floats competed over the extravagance of their deco-rations, and paraded through the narrow streets of Sekijuku (one of the 53 stations of the Tokaido Highway, today located in Kameyama). From this, the expression “seki-no-yama”, which means “the best one can do”, was born.

Kameyama-shi Noryo Taikai 亀山市納涼大会A wide variety of events are held including dances performed by local residents, lottery, stage shows, etc. There are also numerous stalls selling refreshments, and the event is bustling with visitors.

Sekijuku Noryo Hanabi Taikai関宿納涼花火大会

Approximately 2,000 fireworks are set off and a dazzling display of fireworks lights up the night sky. The event is held on the banks of Suzuka River near the Seki Fire Department. Numerous stalls selling refreshments are erected, attracting crowds of visitors.

Hanashobu Matsuri花しょうぶまつり

Some 20,000 iris flowers of nearly 100 varieties are grown on an area of 4,000 square meters in the park. The event features sales of iris flowers, guidance on how to grow it, and sales of local specialties.

Kameyama Oichi 亀山大市This is Kameyama City’s famous market in winter. Its origin can be traced back to the large sales preceding the Lunar New Year celebrations more than 130 years ago. The event features numerous stalls bustling with visitors.

A multicultural exchange event organized by the Kameyama Inter-national Friendship Association (KIFA). It features a variety of programs including speech presentations.

Kameyama Aozora Ocha Matsuri

亀山青空お茶まつりNakano-yama Pilot, which has 87 hect-ares f ie ld , is the main producer of Kameyama tea. An event is held there annually to enhance exchanges between tea producers and Kameyama City residents. It features tea picking, hand kneading experience, and sales of tea and local specialties. It attracts numerous visitors.

Tokaido Sekijuku Kaido Matsuri 東海道関宿街道まつりThe event features historical pageant that re-enacts the bustling procession of travelers along the Tokaido High-way, historical costume contests, sales of local special-ties, and various other enjoyable programs.

Full-bloomed Cosmos flowers that represents fall cover 4-5 hectares of field like a thick carpet. Stalls offer refresh-ments and local agricultural produce.
