    eFMerWALL Wallpaper changer v 2.0

    Starting eFMerWall

    After starting the program places an icon in the taskbar. Normally found in the right bottom of the

    screen. lick the left mouse button !hen the mouse is above the icon.

    How to begin

    eFMerWall e"pects a directory !ith pictures#photos in $%&' (M% or almost !hatever format.

    )very time at startup the directory is scanned and all are sho!s as a desktop image in a certain

    *random+ interval on , or 2 screens.

    The directory where the pictures are

    lick on the follo!ing icon-

    And a e"plorer style !indo! opens' select a file in the directory the pictures are placed.

    Any picture !ill do it doesnt matter !hich one.

    /f this directory is empty but there are pictures in the subdirectories' place an empty te"t file on this

    location and select the empty te"t file. he te"t file is skipped but the subdirectories are scanned.

    Ne"t the directory' including the subdirectories are scanned and you get a number of pictures

    found in this case 12.

    JPG only

    click the 3$%& e"tension only 4 to include only 5.6pg files.

    Random display

    7nless Randomis checked the pictures are displayed se8uentially. With Random checked this

    changes if fully random.

    9cale the picture

    9caling can be done in 2 !ays-

    9elect Stretchedin the Desktopgroup and let Windo!s handle the scaling. his sometimes

    !orks 6ust fine.

    o generate less overhead *smaller picture+' use Scale to fit screen. he picture !ill be scaled'

    back or up' before it is being send to the system.

    /n dual screen mode this is al!ays done' regardless of the setting of Scale to fit screen.

    Display label window

    /f you have a larger collection of pictures' it is very handy to have a description of the pictures

    sho!n. o do so check this bo".

    A small te"t !indo! appears. :ou can move it by holding the pointer over it and pressing the left

    mouse button. ;eep the left mouse button pressed as you move the !indo! to the right location.

    Interval between pictures

    9et the interval bet!een different pictures from , minute to 2= hours.

    For e"ample to get a ne! pictures every time the computer is started set the interval to 2= hours.

    Close dialog screen

    o close the eFMerWall dialog click on Ok

    Menu

    o check for a ne! update you can go to !!!.efmer.eu and select do!nload.

    An easier !ay is the select 7pdate in the Menu.

    %ress "heck for Update and a file is read on !!!.efmer.euto check if the latest version is

    installed.

    /f there is a ne! version select Updateno! eFMerWall closes and the bro!ser opens !ith the

    ne! program to be installed *as administrator+.

    Start eFMerWall at startup

    :ou can move the program to the startup group of Windo!s or as administrator check the 39tart

    eFMerWall at startup4 so it !ill run for all users. 7sers can setup their o!n directory and other

    settings.

    Set Dual Screen Mode

    9et this mode !hen using 2 screens and you !ant to display different pictures on each monitor.

    Dual monitor with different resolution

    9creen , and screen 2 can be of different resolution. /n this case the picture on screen 2 may be

    scaled improperly.

    Lets assume a screen of ,?20 " ,200 and one of ,==0 " ,200.

    eFMerWall !ill automatically ad6ust the !idth and @eight to the correct value for screen ,. (ut for

    screen 2 the height must be ad6usted manually to get a correctly scaled picture.

    9elect Ad$anced settin%s.

    Ad6ust the height for screen 2 to ?00 and press Set

    /f for some reason the default value is needed' press Default &idth ' (ei%htthis !ill reset the

    resolution for screen , an 2 to the default system value.
