My dear professional colleagues,
With the approaching of my cessation of my tenure in the 1
year of the new Regional Council of 22 EIRC, it is time to
take stock of the activityies, creativities and outcomes, during
the term 2016-2017 for the furtherance of our initiatives
towards our profession. I can courageously announce that
with meticulous approach and our combined endeavours of
each of my colleagues in my team in the Regional Council
assisted by the honourable Council Members of this Regio n,
have yielded significant results and accolades. I express my
gratitude to all my professional colleagues in this Region, all
the Managing Committee members of each of the Branches,
friends and well-wishers for being the guiding catalyst for all
the attainments towards professional development. It is said
that every beginning has to end somewhere. Hence, I am
not a firm believer of bidding Good Bye. Although this is my
last communication from my official capacity of the Chairman
of EIRC, this does not necessarily means that I will be away
from all my professional colleagues. I will continue to work
with all stakeholders as a member of the profession that too
another two years left in this term 2016-2019.
On the march to a bright future, the CA profession in India is
today passing through a crucial phase of restructuring, up-
gradation, value addition, diversification and global
integration. With accounting having become the language of
global business, today's professional has e merged as
versatile tool of modern day business. The profession is in a
state of flux and Indian CAs is fast evolving from traditional
accounts keeper and auditor into a trusted business adviser
equipped with multifarious skills. Today, the CAs are not only
spearheading the government accounting reforms but is also
involved in the policy making processes at various levels of
government. The acknowledgement and recognition by
leaders of our beloved country for the CA fraternity
thoroughly sum up the great role, power and potential of the
Accountancy profession in the county.
In the process, I undertake to uphold the enormous trust
put in me and assure you to carry forward our tradition of
excellence and help give shape to the belief of many of the
leaders of our beloved country, on our profession. I am
aware that it would not be a challenging task especially in
this ever changing and challenging world. We need to
equip ourselves with develop techniques and fresh ideas to
combat the situation. We need to work in close liaison
with all our brethren and analyze our barriers and try to
find out a solution. I firmly believe that all are working
tirelessly in translating and bringing this profession to
today's platform. I consider myself fortunate and believe
that I will also continue to be assisted with the unstinted
help and cooperation from all.
An Annual Day Function has been scheduled for 24th
February 2017 at Vidya Mandir, wherein awards and prizes
will be given to the Best Branches, its Students Association
and Study Circles. I urge upon everyone to please attend in
large numbers to make the programme a grand success
Change is inevitable. In a few days, I will lay down my official
responsibilities in this Office. I was extremely elated to take
over as Chairman Many have been fulfilled, while some are in
progress and some would require full completion. I firmly
believe that my successors is highly capable and competent
to carry on with the endeavor to place our Region to yet
greater heights. I understand how formidable is the task the
incoming Chairman and his team is about to undertake. I
assure and pledge my full support to him in that task. I wish
him all success. May EIRC grow from strength to strength.
Yours sincerely,
CA Anirban Datta

The undersigned is penning for this particular page for the last time. I was just one
milestone in the journey of EICSA, which has miles to travel and work relentlessly for the betterment
of the students. As I move down the memory lane I find that serving the students have been my most
contending journey in my service as a Regional Council member. I think I have been able to keep up to
the expectations and bring in new vigour and zeal amongst the students of the region. I found myself
in the role of a sculptor who chisels out a great statute from a raw and a mundane stone.
The work as the Chairman of EICASA was a difficult task in the beginning. Leading a half hearted
body with students having multifarious opinion and being a non local person was a herculean task.
However, with the blessings of the almighty, support of my council colleagues and employees of the
institute, the journey became easy. Today I can take pride on declaring that this year the EICASA
could come out and work upon innovative ideas.
I would like to share with you some of our initiatives. The year began with a noble activity of Share
& Care, then we held multiple revisionary & amendments classes for the students. I am thankful to
all my faculties, who spared their valuable time for the benefit and cause of our students. The year
also witnessed multiple Industrial Visits, Educational Tours, Sports meet and a throng of seminars.
We also successfully held the Youth Festival. A number of maiden initiatives like Inter-EICASA Cultural
Meet and CPT & IPCC Coaching Classes, Saraswati Puja celebration at EIRC , took place this year with
great efforts put in by this vibrant team EICASA.
Dear Students, when you sit as an audience and clap on a good performance or a speech, sometimes
it happens that you dream of being on the stage receiving extolment. Never ever forget the lone
journey of riyaz. Riyaz gives perspiration. Riyaz takes the test of patience. Riyaz makes you perfect.
Riyaz guides you to your dream Riyaz never gets clap. If you dream and dream and dream without giv-
ing your zealous efforts into it, dream becomes a mere idol having no life in it. Worshipping becomes
a mere showing-off , a baseless grandeur, a lifeless luxury.
I would like to mark this tenure of mine as a Time Machine, boarding on which takes me to my sweet-
est days as a student. Whenever I have interactions with you, be it in National Convention, in series
of seminars , in the great green stretch wearing sport-apparel, ventilating by way of planting seeds,
donating blood or serving people in need, or in the formal meetings, I find myself in the days of my
studies with lot of exchanges on pursuing interest and nurturing dreams.
Every good thing has to come to an end, so the same has to be my role as a leader of EICASA. As I
carry with me the fond remembrances of this eventful year I wish success to my successor and assure
my best support and commitment towards the enhanced growth of our students. I sincerely believe
in the quote of Bernand Shaw “Child is a father of man”. I had a rich learning experience from these
little and shining stars and I wish them all the very best in their lives.
Since love is felt and things of love is to be exchanged, let me loan letters to express my leave from
EICASA – “The Best pair in the world is ‘smile & cry’. They won’t meet each other at a time; if they
meet, it’s the best moment in your life.”
I Wish you all success in life.

My dear zstzudent friends,
Albert Einstein, one of the finest philosophers of 20th Century, felt , “If
at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it.” History of this
planet is the history of making the impossible -possible. I frequently
board the time-car garaged in my mind and drive down the great
corridor of human civilization and find that the march of civilization is
a chronicle of turning dream into reality. Leonardo de Vinci used to go to local fair, purchase birds,
un-cage and observe them flying away. To the common man, this act seemed to be completely
out-tuned. But the master was engrossed observing their movement imagining human being flying
like the birds. We find in his notes the basic ideas of aeroplane. His milieu unnoticed and History
embraced him
