• Proper Care and routine maintenance is essential for electric scooters and e-bikes just similar the way we manage our personal hygiene.

• Here’s we’re sharing how you can do regular grooming of your electric bikes. Make sure you ‘Keep It Simple and Short’.

• The key parts you need to manage are:

1. Brakes: They should be neither too loose nor too tight. Test it so that you can stop the bike instantly.

2. Damp-free care: Light maintenance should be the idea behind regular grooming. Wipe with linen cloth before and after taking a ride.

3. Tires: You should stick to the normal air pressure levels and check it daily. If you are riding with low tire pressure, the treads may wear out quickly and also result in poor braking and lot of vibration.

4. Battery Status: Allowing the battery to charge completely is one way to prolong its life. You may lower the efficacy of the bike’s battery if you charge daily without letting it discharge.

5. Monsoon: Monsoon is troublesome for electric bikes. Just scrub the metallic parts to free them from rust deposits. During monsoon, the grease, oil and hair may wind into the wheel rims and the brakes.

What you are missing in electric bikes often?

• Unlike the petrol bikes, the electric bikes are literally free from the constant trouble of air filters, spark plugs and carburetors. You may not be able to visit the local bike shop too often as your e-bike remains in top condition with regular grooming. Not much to miss, it seems!!!
