An electric car is an automobile that is propelled by one or more electric motors, using electrical energy stored in batteries or another energy storage device. An electric car powered by sunlight is a solar car, and an electric car powered by a gasoline generator is a form of hybrid car. Thus, an electric car that derives its power from an on-‐board battery pack is a form of battery electric vehicle (BEV). Most often, the term "electric car" is used to refer to battery electric vehicles. Commercially, Smart Ed became the first ever BEV that was manufactured in London in 2007. The current global market has many electric cars – Nissan Leaf, Mitsubishi i-‐MiEV family, Renault Zoe, BMW, etc. Nissan Leaf is the highest sold one in June 2013, as well as the cheapest in price. Tesla is an expensive luxury segment electric car. In the US, LA has the highest ownership of electric cars.

Renault Zoe is a French electric car made in France. Smart Ed brought in their newest EV in 2013. This is the third iteration, it has a 74 hp electric motor and 17.6 kwh battery. Top speed has been bumped up from 62 mph to 78. As before, the primary advantage of the electric version is the single-‐speed transmission. The Independent this morning published an article - which it repeatedly claims comes from "documents obtained from the NSA by Edward Snowden" - disclosing that "Britain runs a secret internet-monitoring station in the Middle East to intercept and process vast quantities of emails, telephone calls and web traffic on behalf of Western intelligence agencies." This is the first time the Independent has published any revelations purportedly from the NSA documents, and Snowden clear that he was not the source for the Independent, stating:” I have never spoken with, worked with, or provided any journalistic materials to the Independent”. The UK government create an appearance that the Guardian and Washington Post's disclosures are harmful, and they are doing so by intentionally leaking harmful information to The Independent and attributing it to others.

Global warming is the gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere, attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide and other pollutants. U.S. President Barrack Obama’s climate action plan involves implementing rules and standards that will reduce releases of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases from power plants, heavy vehicles, and buildings. U.S. alone is responsible for roughly 6 billion tons of carbon dioxide emissions yearly. The climate of the northern Atlantic Ocean has warmed and cooled nine times in the last 12,000 years due to global warming. Another effect of global warming is the increase in the temperature of the earth, resulting in the melting of ice. The Earth Summit was held in Rio de Janeiro in 1992, where UNFCCC treaty was designed for signature. This treaty is designed to stabilize greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere at a level that would prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system.

Global Warming is one of the greatest issues the world facing. These days the phenomenon is increasing because of the unscientific use of fossil fuels and carelessness in the use of CFCs. In the earlier era, the global warming wasn’t a problem with much attention. But within a short period of time, it came to notice the drastic changes in weather-‐ mainly temperature.
The main cause of global warming is Green House effect which is caused
mainly because of CO, CO2, SO2 and CFCs (ChloroFluroCarbon). These gases form a layer around the globe which traps the heat from escaping to the space resulting in the increase of temperature which cause change in weather and result in melting of Ice-‐Bergs. The sea level raises and the low altitude places drawn because of this.
The Global Summit held at 1992 was decided to reduce the emission of
Green House gases to reduce global warming.
