Power generation and distribution is by definition a supporting functionality, but nevertheless a vital one on modern ships. In order to optimise this function, RH Marine approaches the design of the power system from the vessel’s operation.

This design consists of an aligned power plant and the most suitable distribution in terms of AC, DC or a combination. The grid is controlled by an advanced power management system, ensuring safe and reliable operation of your main task under the most demanding circumstances.

Driving you application
Variable frequency drives are a commodity nowadays and are used to control the main consumers on most ships. From our in-house produced converters in the past to supplier independent drives today, we implement years of experience and operational knowledge in our drive systems, providing the motion your application requires. This can vary from DP thrusters to tensioners to hoisting applications.
Capabilities
Experienced electrical, automation and mechanical engineers tailor the product to your requirements, from short-circuit calculations, selectivity studies, arc-flash calculations and harmonic distortion studies to design of protection settings and power management systems. All supporting studies required for a solid product are available.
We commission your systems rapidly and reliably with a flexible attitude. With our site management and installation capabilities we can handle all stages of the process.
After delivery we continue to be your partner by offering training, maintenance and service. With our consultancy capa-bilities we can assist you in improving your operation, from detailed technical issues to out-of-the-box creation of new applica-tions.
