Why I chose Wesleyan:

Not having visited Wes, but having been accepted, I stayed here overnight during WesFest. Everyone who I met I enjoyed talking to and hanging out with. It’s the people that make the school.

Academic Interests: American Studies major with a certificate in Social, Cultural, and Critical Theory

Favorite class at Wes: There are a lot to choose from! Music Theater Workshop with Quiara Hudes was an eye-opener. It brought together composers and lyricists for an intense study and practice of writing for the theater. I wouldn’t be putting up a musical this year without this course. Plus, Thomas Kail ’99 (director of In the Heights and Hamilton) came to speak to our class.

Current Classes: Entertaining Social Change Reading Theories Colonialism and Its Consequences in the Americas Parody

Why I want to be a tour guide: My decision to come to Wes was heavily influenced by the people that I met when visiting. I tour to be one of the friendly faces that prospective students remember after they leave campus.
