Speaker: Dr. Jacinto Tong:

Dr. Tong is the CEO of Gale Well Group Limited. He has over 30 years’ experience in real

estate investment. He is also a columnist for many local magazines and newspapers. He

was the recipient of the 12th World Outstanding Chinese Award by the World Chinese

Business Investment Foundation. Dr. Tong is a graduate of the Economics Department of

Hong Kong Baptist University.

Event Summary

This event is jointly organized by BUAA and HKBUSBAA. In the seminar, Dr Tong shared

his valuable insight to the property market in Hong Kong and interacted with alumni in

relation to questions on residential properties. Dr. Tong also invited Mr Jacky Lu, head of

the property section of Ming Pao to the dinner. Around 50 alumni attended this event and

at the end, Mr Jacky Lu offered SBAA some VIP quotas of his one other seminar and book

launch lunch.

本次活動由明報財經組織牽頭組織,在陸振球先生的邀請下,校友會有幸獲得了本次活動的十多

個 VIP名額,活動邀請到了地產屆的多名資深人士,包括浸會校友湯文亮博士,為到場來賓講解

2013年股市樓市的應對策略。

活動 3: 留住愛 情常在 湖北義教

時間: 28.03.2013 – 31.03.2013

地點: 中國湖北紅安縣

活動概況

本次活動由扶輪社 HKJC Foundation及香港湖北聯誼會聯合主辦,浸會大學校友會為協辦機構

之一,多名浸會大學校友參加了是次活動。

活動背景

隨著內地高速發展,農村人口移至城市,令留守兒童成為內地近年來的普遍現象。所謂留守兒童,

指的是由於父母外出打工而被留在家鄉或寄宿在親戚家中的兒童。

由於長期缺乏父母的關注與呵護而導致他們出現孤僻內向、情緒消極等心理缺陷,因此我們希望

藉是次義教與湖北省紅安縣的留守兒童建立信任關係,帶一點溫暖和關愛,願他們心中留住關愛,

親情,友情常在。

服務物件

紅安縣陳升中學小學部,留守兒童 562位元,建議服務比例為 1:7.以三十人為一團的義教服務人數

即為 210位。另外,服務形式亦包括家訪,故學生的親人亦為服務物件之一。

服務形式

是次服務團會以舉辦不衕的興趣班提升留守兒童的自信心,並希望藉此凝聚他們,與他們建立互信

關係。此外,我們亦加入家訪的環節,希望走進他們的生活,瞭解他們的生活背景,作一記錄, 以提供

學校跟進及作將來服務之用。

活動 4: 2012/2013新界區百萬行 暨 新春午宴

活動概況

本次新界區百萬行由香港公益金主辦,旨在將公益金百萬行所籌得的善款,全數撥捐「家庭及兒

童福利服務」,協助有需要的家庭,鼓勵成員間建立互愛互勉的緊密關係,以維繫及鞏固家庭個

體。

活動摘要

新界區百萬行於 2013 年 3 月 3 日(星期日)舉行。於白石角海濱長廊起步,沿吐露港單車徑,步行

至大埔海濱公園為終點。參加者可沿途欣賞吐露港優美景色,亦可幫助社會上有需要的人士。路

線全程長約 5.5 公里;步畢全程約 2 小時。

今年已經是連續第二年,在香港浸會大學商學院校友會、香港浸會大學公司管治及董事學學會、

香港浸會大學工商管理碩士舊生會及香港浸會大學校友會聯合號召下,三十多名校友參與了本次

活動,并順利完成了全程。其後各會便於大埔進行聯合"2013 年新春午宴",在歡樂的氣氛中為是

次活動劃上完美句號。

本次活動為香港浸會大學商學院校友會、香港浸會大學公司管治及董事學學會、香港浸會大學工

商管理碩士舊生會及香港浸會大學校友會四個協會連續二年聯合參加的活動,取得了令人滿意的

成绩。本次活動的成功促進了各校友會之間的聯繫及交流,擴大了校友會社會影響力,更為將來

個協會合作聯合舉辦更多豐富的活動奠定了基礎。

活動 5: 「夢想,啟航!」香港大學生暑期內地實習計畫

活動明細

活動概況

浸會大學工商管理學院校友會會收到友好團體香港青年交流促進聯會和陝港青年交流促進會支持

的「夢想,啟航!」香港大學生暑期內地實習計劃 ,這個計劃以「為夢想建設‧為未來定位」為

主題,希望提供一個平臺讓同學透過實習的鍛鍊,瞭解企業運作外、更從中瞭解個人專長及興趣,

繼而裝備自己,構思未來生涯規劃。

計劃於本年為第3屆,於 2013年 6月組織同學到北京、福建、四川及廣西實習,實習崗位遍佈多

個行業的大型企業,亦有公營事業單位提供崗位。本計劃同時獲信和集團及彼得.德魯克管理學

院擔任合作夥伴,安排一系列培訓及學習活動

騰訊控股有限公司是目前中國最大的互聯網綜合服務提供商之一,也是中國用戶最多的互聯網企

業之一。多年來堅持自主創新,一直秉承一切以用戶價值為依歸的使命提供多樣化服務,且為中

國互聯網行業開創了更加廣闊的應用前境。

活動概況

是次活動由工商管理學院及工商管理學院校友會聯合舉辦,旨在提供機會讓學生及校友參觀騰訊

控股有限公司。透過參觀及考察騰訊公司了解中國的互聯網及資訊科技發展,發掘港人的發展及

工作機會等。本次活動約 2 個小時,有 30 多位校友到場參加。活動中,騰訊為校友們安排了精美

的企鵝公仔紀念品,并安排了抽獎活動。

活動 7: 前海深港現代服務業合作區財資市場考察團

活動內容

前海深港現代服務業合作區位於珠三角區域經濟發展主軸和沿海功能拓展帶的十字交匯處,毗鄰

香港、澳門。前海作為合作示範區肩負著探索內地與香港緊密合作的新方法,帶動未來經濟發展

並期望在全球化服務業領域發揮重要作用。

活動概況

是次交流由工商管理學院校友會與香港業內人士聯合舉辦,旨在在與深港兩地的監管當局和業內

校友共衕探討跨境業務及前海金融的最新發展。並參觀前海地段發展,透過實地考察了解前海合

作區的發展規劃,有效地促進兩地的雙互交流。

考察團一行約 20 人由在香港從事銀行、基金、評級機搆等行業的校友以及香港從事金融業的業內

人士組成。本次活動有幸邀請到了深圳市前海管理局的張處長為考察團介紹前海特區的概況及解

答各屆人士關注的問題。

嘉宾介绍

湯文亮博士:紀惠集團行政總裁,從事地產投資業務。世界傑出華人基金第十二屆傑出華人獎得

主,加拿大 Lansbridge大學榮譽院士、資本雜誌 2012資本傑出領袖、L and T慈善基金會創會

成員及副總裁、香港浸會大學基金會及企業家委員會榮譽理事、明愛專上學院及白英奇專業學校

籌款委員會委員。湯博士同時是《新報》、《i-Money 周刋》、《Yahoo置業新頻道》等專欄作

家、《從歷史看香港地產》2010作者,對香港地產市場及相關投資有精闢見解,甚得業界人士擁

戴。

宋立功博士:政治社會學者、新銳中國問題專家、政論專欄作家及公共政策評論員,於紐約哥倫

比亞大學政治社會學博士研究班,專研香港精英政治與中共黨史,現為香港城市大學專業進修學

院首席講師及社會經濟政策研究所主席。宋博士議論縱橫,見解精闢,近年經常為高級公務員及

商界講授中國政府實務課程,又獲聘為多個大企業的中國事務顧問。宋博士的政論專欄及文章見

於《信報財經月刊》、《信報》、《東方日報》、《明報》、《星島日報》等各大政經報章雜誌

活動概況

是次活動邀請到了,以及資深地產投資人士湯文亮博士就地產市場發表了題為投資者剖析的演

講,同時還邀請到了資深政論專欄作家及公共政策評論員宋立功博士,從經濟及政治的角度就地

產市場發表了看法。本次活動還榮幸地邀請到了特約嘉賓施永青先生出席。

嘉賓介紹

李先生家學淵源,早年畢業於中文大學,其後獲選為「英國皇家亞洲學會院士」,現任「匯賢智

庫學宛課程總監」,亦是「宸瀚藝術品顧問公司」創辦人。曾於 2009年奪「國際中國哲學會,亞

洲哲學青年學者論文獎」等國際榮譽。現在是「UNESCO 香港聯合國教科文組織協會項目顧問」。

經驗豐富、著作等身。亦多次接受商會組織、理財金融機構邀請,出席分享經驗。

活動簡介

中國「古玩」既有觀賞價值,近年亦成為亮點投資品。在雲雲私人企業和私募基金投資組合之中,

中國藝術品已是不可或缺的另類投資選項。加上在國內掘起的富裕一群,他們的生活品味正不斷

提升亦令藝術品的市場叫價屢創新高。以致某些熱門年代的陶瓷、銅器、或書、畫等,每年市場

價格上升來個兩、三成也不是新聞。因此把藝術品正式加進投資組合中,繼而在第二市場以有價

證券型式交易的趨勢亦已開始了!

是次活動由經濟學系校友會及工商管理學院校友會聯合舉辦,旨在為校友提供古玩投資的相關知

識。透過此次講座,提高校友對這一新興投資產方式的認識。活動中,李宗鴻先生不僅詳細介紹

了中國古玩藝術品投資的相關知識和經驗分享,更帶來數件古玩真品供大家品鑒學習。

Event Summary

Riding on the success of the 2012 Gateway to Big4, we received more than 300 applications

for the seminar session of the 2013 Gateway to Big4. Eight alumni who have diversified

background in the Big4 accounting firms shared their valuable experiences in the job

application process and practical interview strategies. Students presented the event find the

tips very insightful and expressed that they are keen to join similar events hosted by

HKBUSBAA. It has been a great pleasure for HKBUSBAA to be able to serve as the bridge

connecting alumni and students such that the power of HKBU network could be leveraged to

create benefits to both students and the University.

Event Summary

This is the Session 2 of the event Gateway to Big 4 and this session of the event intends to

provide students with 1) mock interview situation and questions similar to the real interview;

2) comments on your application resume; and 3) insightful tips from alumni who got

successful interview experiences.

With the strong support from 15 kind alumni and the School of Business, the interview

session of Gateway to Big4 successfully served 60 students who are about to have their

interviews. By rehearsing the mock situation, students not only developed hands on

experience on handling challenging questions but also established good relationship with

Big 4 alumni who might later on be their future colleagues. The interview session was

followed by an extended mingle session offering further opportunities for students and

alumni to exchange insightful ideas.

In this session, we prepared a practical training (including an assignment) which replicates

the real situation in the financial industry from experienced trainer of Bloomberg L.P. to

enhance your technical skill to distinguish you in your career.

Event Summary

Jointly organized by School of Business, School of Business Alumni Association and

Bloomberg L.P., the “Financial Analyst Training” event aims to offer students an invaluable

opportunity to gain professional insights at entry level. With the planning and training of as a

Financial Analyst and basic training from Bloomberg L.P., this activity strives to enhance the

realms of professional competence in investment bank (I-bank).

活動 15: Simulated Trading Competition and Training Session

Event Detail

Period: November 4th to 29th (four weeks)

Target: All HKBU students.

Competition

Details:

1) Markets: U.S. and Hong Kong

2) At least two asset classes (from FX, Stock, Future, Option, Bond, etc)

3) Initial account balance: 1,000,000 USD

4) Trading frequency: Minimum 20 executions in total

5) Participants will be ranked by net liquidation values at the end of the

competition to determine the winners. HKBUSBAA reserve the right to

make final decision.

Event Summary

School of Business Alumni Association and Interactive Brokers jointly hosted the Trading

Competition, designing to provide HKBU student the opportunity to practice trading skills

through hands-on experience. It is the first time IB supports such student event in Hong

Kong and SBAA is honored to join hands with IB. Individual participants emulated the daily

job of a professional trader, conducting active trading on Interactive Brokers’ professional

simulated trading platform.

The following comprehensive assistances were provided to all participants:

• Products trading training sessions hosted by alumni from Duetsche Bank and KGI

Securities.

• Interactive Brokers trading platform training sessions.

• Education contents available on Interactive Brokers website.

Participants went through a 4-week competition period and each wrote a report to summarize

their trading activities. The report covered the trading strategies behind the transactions. The

reports were evaluated by judges from renowned financial institutions to determine the

winners.

Winners of the competition were awarded invaluable internship opportunities with Morgan

Stanley, Investco and Interactive Brokers.

活動 16: Cocktail Gathering on 12 Nov 2013

Speaker:

Mr. Martin Wong is the director of Citigroup Global Market Asia. Before that he spent 8 years

in Rabobank International and was Head of warrants and Executive Director. With rich

experience and in-depth understandings in Hong Kong and Singapore financial market, Mr.

Martin Wong is also a popular market analyst and one of the most welcomed tutors of the

School of Business Hong Kong Baptist University.

Summary of the Event:

The cocktail gathering is the annual event aimed to welcome new members, and offered a

change for the new members to meet alumni and guests with variety business and

professional backgrounds. This time, around 100 alumni and guests attended the event,

around a half are new student members.

Professor Gordon Tang, Head of Finance and Decision Sciences Department also attended

this event. He gave a short speech to express the gratitude about that SOBAA helped

programs graduates like MSc. In Applied Accounting and Finance to establish their own

alumni organization. Mr. Martin Wong, expert in warrant products and equity markets gave an

in-depth speech about innovation in current financial markets.

Students and alumni had a good opportunity to expand their network and gain insights about

not only financial market but many other business areas during that night.

活動 17: Call for Support to Child Development Fund Projects

Event Detail

The Labour and Welfare Bureau hosted projects of the Child Development Fund which aims

to help promote social mobility for children from a disadvantaged background.

In support of such projects, HKBU SBAA initiated a call by email on 22 November 2013 to

invite alumni to help build a better future for these children by participating in the Mentorship

Programme of Child Development Fund. The main objective of the mentorship programme is

to provide guidance to the participating children.
