• Atilim University was founded by the Atilim Foundation on 15 July 1997.

• A Campus University; is located on 250 acres of land in İncek one of the most recent and fastest developing residential areas of Ankara, 20 km from the City Centre and 7 km from the motorway.

ENGLISH PREPARATORY SCHOOL

• The medium of instruction in Atılım University is English. • Students who do not submit an English Proficiency Exam

Result during registration will have to attend English Preparatory School. The School offers one-year intensive English language program. Students who submit a valid English proficiency Exam result will be exempted from English Preparatory School and will directly start their undergraduate courses.

• In addition, special Turkish courses are offered to international students in Atılım University.

ACCEPTABLE ENGLISH EXAMS AND SCORES

Acceptable English Proficiency Scores at Atılım University • Students who have been accepted to The Department of English

Language & Literature and The Department of Translation & Interpretation: 

• TOEFL - 213 • IELTS - 6.5 • FCE - (B)

• Students who have been accepted to the programs in other departments:

• TOEFL - 173 • IELTS - 6 • FCE - (C)

Regulations for International Students

Student Visa:• International students must obtain a valid student

visa from the nearest Turkish Consulate in their country. A student visa is required for registration and must be obtained before entering Turkey. The tourist visa is not acceptable as a substitute.

• International students should apply to the Consulate for student visa with the Letter of Acceptance of Atılım University.

Regulations for International Students

• Residence PermitAll international students, regardless of status, must register with, and obtain a Residence Permit from the Foreigners Section at the Directorate of Security (Police) in each province. International students are required by law to register within one month after entering Turkey. Besides, the Residence Permit must be renewed each year and requires the submission of a valid student certificate.

• InsuranceStudents are urged to purchase appropriate insurance for emergency and hospitalization valid in Turkey. International students are responsible for any cost of hospitalization or for any medical service or treatment not available at university campuses.
