There is a proud heritage throughout American history of Black Americans who have contributed to make this country great. In a land where opportunities were difficult to come by, these proud and determined individuals opened the way for others. Whether in the field of politics, medicine, academics, sports, or the arts, these Black Americans provide models that all Americans can look up to. Our students are learning about their many accomplishments. We invite you to tour our halls and classroom to celebrate with us! Fabulous February! Progress Reports- February 10 Valentine Dance- February 14- Cost: $5.00 includes snack and a drink. Northport Music Institute concert- February 15 at 9:00 in the gym. Joseph Fonbah, originally from Cameroon, Africa will present his students in concert. Parents are welcome to join us. The Lorax Tree Planting Day- February 24. Details will be sent home later. Mark your calendars to come join us! Don’t forget your shovels! School-wide field trip to see The Lorax on March 9 th . Admission is $11.50. Payment is due by February 24 th . Important Upcoming Event in March! Kindergarten registration is March 21. It is extremely important to register upcoming kindergarten students on this day! You will need the following: Blue Immunization card, social security card, official birth certificate, and two proofs of residency. We need all students to register so they can participate in the summer program called Jump Start. Myrtlewood’s New Theme!
