POST-TOWN HALL MEDITATION* From Theory to Practice: Cultivating Wholeness and Well-Being Through Contemplative Mindfulness. Join us for some guided practices that will demonstrate ways to increase awareness and compassion. All are welcome - no background or experience necessary. Facilitated by Rabbi David Teva, Tyla Taylor '21 and Jada Reid '22 Rabbi David Teva is the Director of Wesleyan's Office of Religious and Spiritual Life and teaches Mindfulness at Wesleyan. Tyla Taylor ‘21 is the Mindfulness Intern on campus. Tyla leads the group Mindful Wes, a student- group working to bring conscious awareness to ourselves, our community, and our environment by offering spaces to learn and practice meditation. She also helped start the SOC Healing Space on campus. Jada Reid ‘22 is a Race, Ethnicity, and Nationality intern at the Resource Center. She founded and leads the SOC Healing Space, which focuses on creating a community for students of color to explore journaling and meditation practices. Rabbi David Teva is the Director of Wesleyan's Office of Religious and Spiritual Life and teaches Mindfulness at Wesleyan.
