Hello and welcome to Penryn Rugby Club.

Approaching the 150th anniversary of its formation in 1872, Penryn Rugby Club is the oldest rugby club in Cornwall. As of 2018, Penryn has two men’s senior teams, a strong ladies’ squad and well over 200 mini and youth players. In addition, the club has over 100 volunteers. Penryn owns its substantial grounds and facilities on the edge of town, close to the Falmouth University and Exeter University shared campus.

Also known as The Borough, Penryn Rugby Club promotes “The Borough Way” of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline, sportsmanship, loyalty and friendship across the whole club, providing a positive and safe environment for rugby players irrespective of age and gender. The Penryn Memorial Ground is a focal point for the town, bringing together people and businesses from Penryn and neighbouring villages.

Penryn RFC already has a network of sponsors who provide vital support to the club, ensuring that we are able to provide rugby to the highest possible standards for the community of Penryn.

However, we are an ambitious club with an aim to be the leading amateur club in Cornwall.

SENIOR RUGBY AT PENRYN RUGBY CLUB

Men’s 1st XV Penryn RFC's 1st XV are the flagship side of Cornwall's oldest Rugby Club, having finished third in the Tribute Cornwall Devon league in the 2017/2018 season. Presently, Penryn are punching way above their weight and contributed five players to this year's Cornwall squad for the Bill Beaumont Cup (County Championship) campaign.

Women’s 1st XV Penryn are paving the way for the provision of women's rugby in Cornwall. We have the strongest and most successful team in Cornwall and are only getting better. We have strong links with the University and are the main feeder club to the county team with 12 Penryn players making the Cornwall squad 10 of which starting in 1st XV.

Men’s 2nd XV: Penryn Saracens After a break of several years, Penryn bucked the general trend in Cornwall last season by re-establishing their 2nd XV, known as Penryn Saracens. The team finished in the top half of the Duchy League competition for the second teams of Cornish clubs and over the course of the season defeated perennial champions Camborne IIs! Hopes are high for an even better season for Penryn's second team in 2018/19.

YOUTH RUGBY AT PENRYN RUGBY CLUB PRFC has a full complement of boys teams from U6s to U16s, three girls teams and a Colts team, joint with Falmouth and 2017/2018 was a very successful season for the youth section of the club. Penryn RFC also successfully hosted the U7s & U8s County Festival which involved 400 tag players and had two touring teams visit which involved 300 players from U5s to U13s from Penryn, Exmouth, Aberavon and Truro.

We have also seen individual success at representative level with the U16s having four players selected for Exeter Chief Academy and eight representing Cornwall, the Joint Penryn/Falmouth U15s squad had three selected for Exeter Chiefs and 12 selected for Cornwall. The U14s has good representation within the Gold and Silver DPP squads.

The Girls have three U15s representing Cornwall, five in the U18 team and two girls were also scouted for England Rugby Centre of Excellence assessment. One of those was selected and is now an Elite player.

Match Day Programme Advert in every home match programme throughout the season including any cup games. This is a high quality full colour booklet available throughout the season. All advertisements are in full colour.

There are 11 home league matches and possible cup matches. These programmes are a mandatory part of the admission to the ground and are distributed at each home game for the 1st, 2nd, Colts, Juniors and Minis games. There are around 3,000 copies of the match day programmes printed throughout the season.

Annual Club Handbook In September 2018 the Club will renew to over 700 members, almost all will be living and working in Falmouth, Penryn, Truro and the surrounding area. Our Club Handbook contains everything they need to know about what Penryn RFC is and does, a one-stop guide for all of our Members. 1st XV Players’ shirt number sponsorship: £150 plus VAT Promote your business by sponsoring one of the 1st XV match day squad Shirt Numbers throughout the season. Support a club 1st XV playing position by sponsoring a team shirt number. In return you are guaranteed a mention in every match programme (minimum 11 league matches plus any cup matches) for each home league or cup fixture, regardless of which senior squad member occupies that position or shirt number. Additionally, your company name (or logo) will feature as part of the prominent display in the clubhouse of all shirt number sponsors for the season.

1st XV Player sponsorship: £175 plus VAT Your company name will appear alongside your sponsored player in the centre pages of each Penryn RFC Match Day quality full colour programme throughout the season and on our website alongside the player’s profile with a link to your website.

Match Day Sponsorship: £350 plus VAT • Choose from any league and/or cup match.• Table for 10 at pre-match lunch – includes buffet lunch with a complimentary glass

A photo presenting the Club Captain with the ball before kick-off, a copy of which will be sent to local press.

Your advertising board for all 11 home league matches and for any cup matches will be placed next to the scoreboard for maximum publicity therefore every time the score changes in the match the focus will not only be on the score but will be on you and your business. A great way to obtain maximum exposure are road side boards. Located along the busy Kernick Road which serves ASDA, Kernick Industrial Estate, Penryn College and Penryn Town. It is the main pedestrian route for students at the Penryn Campus, visiting tourists and commuters. Also located by the Parkengue entrance/exit of the Kernick Industrial Estate it also acts as the main thorough fare to the Penryn Campus, student accommodation and business office space.
