From July 15-30, a group will be traveling to Germany to help lead a youth summer camp in an area north of Frank- furt, Germany. In addition, from August 9-21, a group will be traveling to Zurich, Switzerland to lead backyard Bible clubs in an area known as Glattpark. We will be the first Baptist mission endeav- or in Switzerland in over two decades!!! If you have been praying about these opportunities and would like to possibly join us in these endeavors, please let me know. I would love for you to be able to be on mission as we work with youth and children this coming summer. If you can't go, I would encourage you to begin praying for these two teams as they form. Pray that God will give us exactly who we need to accomplish His will. I am so thankful for each of you and your willingness to support and en- courage missions at First Baptist and beyond. May God continue to bless us as we seek to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Women on Mission is collecting greeting cards, all kinds EXCEPT Christmas cards, to be sent to Chaplain McGraw at Louisiana State Penitentiary (aka Angola), a maximum security prison housing 5,500 men. Angola has 30 inmate-

led churches and several volunteer groups. Chaplain McGraw says that the inmates ask for greeting cards to send to their families. Most re-quested cards are “thinking of you”, “get well”, birthday, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. Gospel tracts are also needed. Cards and tracts can be placed in the card box located beneath the Missions Board near the Wel-come Center.

Association WMU Fall Meeting and Prayer Service on Tuesday, Novem-ber 12, 7:00PM, at Hampton First Baptist Church. Everyone welcome.

For those joining the group to process shoeboxes in Boone on Decem-ber 3, we will leave the church at 10:30AM and eat lunch in the cafeteria on the Samaritan’s Purse campus.

The Week of Prayer for International Missions and the Lottie Moon Offering will be December 1-8. Our annual Lottie Moon March will be Sunday morning, December 8. Our offering goal is $15,000.00.

November Missions Meetings: Faith Stitchers November 4 @ 6PM; Women on Mission November 21 @ 10AM and November 24 @ 6PM.

ETSU’s Mary B. Martin School of the Arts will be presenting Becky Buller Band & The Fairfield Four in concert on Friday, November 15, 7:30PM, at First Baptist Church. Grammy and IBMA winner Becky and her band will join voices with the legendary Fairfield Four (also Grammy winners and star of the silver screen in “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”) for an evening of gospel and bluegrass. Tickets are $25-Adults/$20-Seniors/$5-Students and can be purchased by calling 424-439-8587 M-F from 8-4:30 or on the website at etsu.edu/martin.

Gaither Vocal Band at Higher Ground Baptist Church Friday, November 8. Tickets are $23 and can be purchased from Glen Gouge. We will leave the church at 3:30 and eat at the Cracker Barrel on the way. Concert is at 7:00. Sign up on the bulletin board.

It’s time for the Southern Christmas Show in Charlotte, NC. We will be going Thursday, November 14, from 6AM-11PM. Tickets are $20. Please sign up on the board out-side the Sanctuary.

Church-Wide Thanksgiving Dinner on Wednesday, November 20, at 6PM. Reservations are needed by Monday, November 18. Community Thanksgiving Service November 24 at Valley Forge FWB Church.

Frontier Health will lead a Youth Mental Health First Aid class to teach how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This 8-hour training gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to adolescents (ages 12-18). The class is Saturday, November 23, 8:30AM-5PM. Lunch provided. Sign up outside the Sanctuary.
