That’s part of the reason why Lord likes to pair student teachers with Moore. Because she was born and raised in Pendleton, Moore knows many of the parents whose children she teaches, Lord added. Moore said she’s incorporated new technology in the classroom, but “I’m going to hold on to my old-style teach- ing values. The teacher is still the No. 1 tool in the classroom, and not your computer.”
