What I learned in my 2nd year in DEM

1. The only constant is change.

2. USMC has it right: Improvise, adapt and overcome

3. My service alma mater also had it right: semper paratus; always ready…. You gotta be

4. FDEM has is right: in a challenging, unscripted year, the team got it right

Tech Hazards Goals for FY-10/11

• Continue to increase OTF each quarter through outreach

• Expand E-Plan to all 67 counties 911 dispatch centers

• Continue to support and empower the State Emergency Response Commission

• Continue to support the expansion of the nuclear power plant industry in the State of Florida

• Implement electronic submission of nuclear plant emergency notification forms to the State Watch Office and risk counties

PTE Goals for FY 10/11PTE Goals for FY 10/11The Regional Evacuation Study releases. The revision and upcoming rulemaking of CEMP-001 and CEMP-002 (the Local CEMP Criteria and the Capabilities Assessment, respectively). The soon-to-be-released Continuity of Government OG web-based plan development tool.
