(December 7, 2018) — The Placer County Water Agency (PCWA) announced today it has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). According to the GFOA, the Certificate is “the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.” “We are thrilled to continue to be recognized by the GFOA for our accounting and reporting practices as this is PCWA’s twelfth consecutive year that we have received this award,” said Joe Parker, PCWA Director of Financial Services. “The Certificate demonstrates the transparency that PCWA strives for.” In particular, the GFOA identified PCWA’s 2017 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the special recognition. The 2017 CAFR is available on PCWA’s website. ### About PCWA PCWA is the primary water resource agency for Placer County, California, with a broad range of responsibilities including water resource planning and management, retail and wholesale supply of drinking water and irrigation water, and production of hydroelectric energy.

PCWA AWARDED CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE IN FINANCIAL REPORTING

AUBURN, Calif.
