3.1) Established in year: 1998 3.2) Brief information of your institution (Max 5-8 lines):
Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan (PIS) offers two degree programmes, 14 diploma programmes and 3 certificate programmes. PIS is also one of the few institutions in Malaysia that offer higher education opportunities to students with disabilities namely the hearing impaired students. PIS vision is to be the leading –edge TVET institution. 3.3) Strengths of programmes/ academic faculties/ courses offered at your institutions (in brief):
PIS programmes are accredited by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA). In fact, in 2019, PIS received the highest score among all the Malaysian Polytechnics for APACC Accreditation. Students should be using the socket provided. No extension wire is allowed.
Students should lock their rooms each time they leave.
Students should keep their rooms clean.
Students should always be in the hostel compound before 11.00 pm.
Students should only bring halal cooked food to the hostel.
Students should dress appropriately when in the hostel compound.
