Why a New Building? Currently, the 4-H Building on the fairgrounds can no longer meet the needs of Buchanan County Agriculture Extension District’s 4-H program; nor the activities of the Fair Board Association. A new building will provide a convenient permanent location for the Buchanan County Extension and Outreach office; with the much needed additional space allowing for the 4-H, Master Gardener, Family, Community and Agriculture programming growth. During the Buchanan County Fair, this building will provide an attractive, welcoming environment for 4-H & FFA members to display their projects; with the additional space this new building will provide 4-H & FFA members will be able to increase their displays and teaching of agriculture topics. Additionally, this project allows for the Buchanan County Fair Board Association to have an accessible (year-round) business office; while also offering a meeting room and an elegant events center for community rental.
