St’s Benedict & Scholastica were both active in this mountainous region, and the medieval frescoes within the Shrine include a famous portrait of St Francis. Lunch Lunch together before this afternoon’s Retreat and dinner dinner. ( B,L,D B,L,D) Saturday 20 May Subiaco—Tivoli—Rome {In Transit to Rome} Head out to Tivoli today for a guided visit to Hadrian's Villa with free time for lunch before arriving in Rome for check in at our Hotel Prati. ( B,D B,D) Sunday 21 May Rome {City Sightseeing w/ Sunday Papal Blessing} AM free—at noon, head over to St Peter’s, where His Holiness offers the Angelus and a Papal Blessing to those assembled in the Piazza on Sundays! PM “Rome 101” detailed sightseeing will include the Colosseum and Forum (substantial walking today!), plus a visit to Michelangelo’s Moses Statue followed by Mass at St Peter in Chains. Independent meals are planned today to allow participants to experience the famed Roman cuisine! You are invited to join Father Justin on a Pilgrimage to Italy next May. The cost of the 10-night Italian Pilgrimage is projected at $3,750 $3,750 per person (share basis, two-to-a-room). (+ $525 $525 for Single) Your Pilgrimage subscription will include: round trip airfares (in coach—Premium Economy and Business Class seating is available on request), transportation by charter bus, nightly accommodations in Religious Houses and moderate grade hotels with A/C and private bath. Our Rome hotel will be walkable to the Vatican. Also included are daily breakfasts, principal meals and wine tasting as per the detailed itinerary (included meals are indicated in BoldBold), personalized guided touring of Orvieto, Assisi and environs, the Vatican & Rome’s main sights including the Great Basilicas. Holy Mass will be celebrated each day by Father Justin in a significant chapel and a Spiritual Retreat will be designed by Fr Justin on a special theme in Subiaco. All taxes and gratuities are included, and a thorough Pre-Trip Briefing will acquaint Pilgrimage-goers with the ins-and-outs of travel to Italy. The Pilgrimage will be escorted by a multi-lingual professional, and the projected price has been estimated according to expected 2017 airfares and exchange rates. Fr Justin HUBER is Associate Pastor of St Rose of Lima Ca tho l i c C hu rc h i n Gaithersburg MD. Fr Justin earned a degree in Civil Engineering from UMD in 2004. Subsequently he studied philosophy at Mount St Mary’s in Emmitsburg MD for 2 years. Then Fr Justin was then assigned to the Pontifical North American College (NAC) in Rome, where he studied Theology for 5 years. He was ordained in 2010 and served

at Annunciation and the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Washington, and Holy Redeemer in Kensington before coming to St Rose of Lima.
