Create a Father’s Day Card for your Dad. Make sure to include all the reasons why you think he’s such a great guy! You might want to create one for another important male in your life also e.g. brother, uncle, grandpa.

Science Yeast Growing Experiment-

What happens when you add different amounts of sugar to yeast? Can it blow up at balloon?

You Will Need:

• 4 packets of dry yeast • 4 water bottles • 4 balloons • 1 funnel. • 1 spoon. • 1 large jug. • Sugar.

Instructions: 1) Carefully measure out the water into the four bottles about 5cm full. (Make sure bottles have same amount of water for a fair test. Warm

Add the sugar per water bottle and then swirl the bottle to dissolve the sugar.

3)Add a yeast packet into each bottle and quickly stretch a balloon of the opening of each bottle. (picture attached)

4) Watch the balloons and record results.

Which balloon was the biggest? Which balloon blew up the fastest? What did you learn about yeast and sugar? why do you think this happened? Why did the balloon blow up?
