Free communication—Let’s 3G!

ZTE WCDMA Europe Road Show -ZTE 3G Around the World

The harder you work, the more you feel lonely! Why?

In order to work hard, you have to spend more time traveling or in the office.

Balancing your work and personal life is no easy matter.

Why we need 3G?

Now Let’s 3G! Go with ZTE!

Working harder for a happier life

A View of 3G Life

It is 4pm on Wednesday and you are

taking part in a videoconference

organised by your boss.

Suddenly your mobile phone receives an

incoming call - from your daughter!

"Dad, today's my birthday! I hope you have

a present for me, and please can you help

me host my birthday party at 5pm - don't

be late."

"Okay! I remember I promised you I would

do that".

You hang up and call the videoconference

centre number, to join the

videoconference on your 3G mobile

phone.

As you continue taking part in the

videoconference through bluetooth-headset,

you pick up the gift you have prepared for

your daughter and leave the office.

Now you are sitting in your car, still in the

videoconference ......

You arrive home and you see ......

You connect your mobile phone to the

videophone in your home. The videophone

automatically connects to the

videoconference through EasyComTM

(HomeGW). (As the videophone camera is

pointed into your living room, the scene of

the party you are preparing appears on

your boss's screen).

"Jacky, where are you?"

"I'm home"

"Are you organising a birthday party for

your daughter?"

"Yes!"

"Okay, our conference is pretty much over.

On behalf of all our colleagues here, may I

wish your daughter a happy birthday!"

"Thank you! But please wait a moment."

While saying this, you open your notebook

computer and connect to the network

through EasyComTM (HomeGW), then

enter the SoftDA(ZTE office digital

assistant).

"From our discussion today, if I am not

mistaken, next year's sales plan is as

shown in my chart here".

The videoconferencing screen displays the

table that you have created showing the

sales plan for the following year.

"Yes, that's right. We agree completely."

Now you can get ready to host your

daughter's birthday party.

Fixed-line 3G and Mobile 3G can be converged on different levels: service platform, core

switching net, user access platform, according to different requirements.

1. Unified Service Platform (ZXUP10)

derived from traditional intelligent networks (integrated intelligent networks: simultaneously

serving fixed networks, GSM, CDMA, PCS etc.); based on open service architecture and

evolved to become a fixed 3G network serving mobile 3G and SS-based networks; providing

comprehensive voice, data and multimedia services, SoftDA is a Triple-play office applica-

tion developed by ZTE based on this platform.

Mobile 3G and fixed-line 3G are both full IP open platforms based on a softswitch
