CONSIDER ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC

HEARING OF THE QUESTION OF SUCH

ANNEXATION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 19th day of September, 2016, the City Council of the City of Havre, Montana, adopted Resolution No. 3747, which is a Resolution of Intention to consider annexation of certain areas adjacent to the municipal boundaries of the City of Havre. That on the 20th day of October, 2016, at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Havre, Montana at 7 o’clock p.m., the City Council of the City of Havre, Montana, will hold a public hearing for the purpose of consideration such annexations at which time all persons resident or owning property in the territory pro-posed to be annexed and all residents of the municipality shall be given an opportunity to be heard.

For further information about the annexation and zoning, contact Dave Peterson or Jeff Jensen, Public Works, at 265-4941.

At the public hearing, a representative will first make an explanation of the report required in Montana Code Annotated § 7-2-4731. Following such explanation, all persons resident or owning property described in the Notice shall have an opportu-nity to be heard.

For a period of forty-five (45) days after the public hearing, the City shall accept written comments approving or disapproving the proposed annexation from real property owners of the area proposed

to be annexed.

The report required in Montana Code Annotated § 7-2-4731 will be available in the Public Works office of the City of Havre for at least 14 days prior to the public hearing.
