2020 Theme:

That all may see Jesus.

From Tim…

SUNDAY STUDIES IN LUKE – Sunday morning we saw John reminding people of the seriousness of the gospel, because we will all be judged after this life. Let’s never forget the importance of what we teach, and let’s make sure we take eternity seriously in our own lives. I had another “mis-speak” Sunday morning! I said that Jesus’ and John’s mothers were ‘sisters,’ but I should have said ‘relatives,’ which is how most translations handle Luke 1:36 (the King James chose “cousin” years ago, but most now go with “relative,” including the New King James). So Elizabeth and Mary probably weren’t ‘sisters,’ but they were definitely related, which made John and Jesus relatives of some sort. I appreciate someone asking me about it later, helping me look back at it more closely. A LOVE FOR THE WORD OF GOD – If nothing else stands out from our Sunday night study of Psalm 119, I hope we notice the psalmist’s love for God’s word, a love that I hope we will continue to grow in our own lives. Make sure Scripture is part of your daily life, and you will see so many benefits, including stronger faith! SOME FEBRUARY DATES TO NOTICE– Here are some of the things going on in February – I hope you can be part of them!
