    STANDARD FEATURES

     Construction: Hetron 99P ® polyester resin

    with UV inhibitor, synthetic veil, Class 1

    flame spread of 25 or less.

     Minimum size: 12” wide x 24” high.

     Maximum Size: 60” wide x 120” high.

     Frame: 6” deep channel, 1/4” thick.

     Blades: 1/8” thick, Center or end pivot.

     Pivots and Bearings: Fiberglass Reinforced

    Polypropylene.

     Linkage: Fiberglass reinforced

    polypropylene & FRP control arm.

     Operating Range: Opens to 45°.

     Dampers: Parallel Blade, Gravity Back draft

    type.

    OPTIONAL FEATURES

     Dampers: Opposed Blade configurations

    available.

     Color: available on large orders.

     Hardware:

    o 316 SS

    o Monel

     Screen: 1/2” mesh Polyethylene Bird

    screen, polyethylene insect screen, or

    stainless steel screen.

    PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

    Moffitt Corporation Fiberglass Wall Louvers are fabricated for the rigors of industry. Designed to provide

    maximum air flow at a minimum pressure drop and water entrainment. Offered in both stationary and

    adjustable configurations, these fiberglass louvers are serviceable in hostile environments with excellent

    chemical resistance, drainable blade designs and several mounting options.

    To determine minimum free area

    required for the louver:

    1. Divide the required CFM flow

    by the maximum recommended

    free area velocity.

    2. Select the most desirable

    louver size from the free area

    table that meets the minimum

    free area requirement.

    NOTE: Ratings do not include the

    effect of bird screen.

    FRP Adjustable Blade Louver Guide Specification 1.1. DESCRIPTION

    Furnish and Install Fiberglass 6” Adjustable Blade Louver and accessories as indicated on drawings.

    1.2. QUALITY ASSURANCE MOFFITT (Jacksonville, FL, 1 800-474-3267) FRP Products establish the standard of quality required. Manufacturer and erector shall demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of related industry experience.

    1.3. SUBSTITUTIONS No substitutions will be considered unless written request for approval has been submitted by the bidder and has been received by the designer at least ten (10) days prior to bid date. Any proposed substitutions should meet the standards set by the specification.

    1.4. SUBMITTALS Furnish approval drawings prior to fabrication and erection drawings prior to shipment showing all erection procedures and accessories required for the specified product.

    2.1. CONSTRUCTION 2.1.1. Unit shall be constructed of isophalic polyester fire retardant resin equivalent to Hetron 99P® polyester resin with

    a Class 1 flamespread of 25 or less. Ultraviolet inhibitors shall be incorporated into th
