Our hearts ere thanhful to Cod for,' all of you who are praying for and supporting our labors in f-outh Africa, Yesterday we were most pleasantly surprised to receive a letter from Dean Cachiaras with ?20. Cod bless you, Dean. Ye are living in days when the old serpent is writhing aad lashing and slashing his tail, but the man of God does not fear, for to him they are but evidences of his death throes under the heel of the King. The current riots in the Bantu toi'.mships, and Nancy's confinement in hos pital for a hysterectomy have halted my Bible lessons over the last 2 weeks, iiancy is home nov;, and feeling better though still v^eak. 3rothv>r Mbengo tells me that Uitenhage has set up a Vigilante Committee with members on each street to control the riots, and he intends visiting Pert Elizabeth to set up a similar progran here. He will contact ms when the situation is 'Jndc-r control. In the meantime I will confine my Bible Lessons to the Coloured and Uitenhage tcvmships. I did preach in the Pert Blizabeth toT-niship recently before the riots, and ga.vo a losson at the home of Brother Erasmus in Blimendal about 3 weeks ago, Ye have also made two trips to the Gamtoos, vfhere we reached out into a new area called funnyside. The brethren have already started work on their new^ building on a beautiful site overlooking the Gomtoos River mouth. I have preached two messages at a Congregational church in Ft, Albans and have been invited to preach there regularly froin the word of God. This week-end I travelled to a funeral, service in ICleinfontein with Brother Frins. Lord willing I shall be at Golvandalo next L •d' week at Grootvlei once again. Day, and the following also planning trins to the Transkei and Beaufort west over the next 3 months. A'crk is going ahead on Brother Love's new homo in the Port Elizabeth toxcn- ship, and it should be completed soon in spite of the curront riots. One problem has been that the builder oras not usin, has now r-een attended to. enoufrh cement, but this A serendipity benefit of our missionary trips has been the blessed opportu nity of simply talking in the car. Our hearts are filled with thanksgiving for your continued prayers andsupport of our work. Since we do not see the need or have the means totake our furlough ncvr we pray that you will continue your support foranother 3 years. We intend, Lord willing, to take our furlough aboutJune - July? of 1980.

In spite of petrol restrictions which has shortened the distance of ouroutreach trips quite a lot the Lorl has opened many doors within drivingdistance of P.H. October 17 took us east across the Sundays River valleyahd through the foothills of the Winterberg mountains to Sevenfountains•Our theme was: THE CHURCH OF CHRIST. I preached on *T'/hat is the church?"Brother DjakimianG "How do I enter the Church?" Brother Mguzulwa "How doesthe churcn grow?" and Brother Gqobc "The Destiny of the Church."

The following Lord's Day i-ze journeyed west beyond Greenbushes to Fisher'sComer where T brought a message on Stewardship. On Tuesday evening wowent beyond the Ford factory, through the village of Xleinskool and intothe nev; Molato totmship of Blumendal where I brought a lesson on Rev.1:4-8at the home of Brother Karel Erasmus. Wednesday evening saw me travellingdown the Freeway to the Standford Road exit into the Gelvandale townshipand on to the Hillcrest school to bring a lesson to the Gelvandale brethrenon James 1:1-8,

On Nov. 7 we met briefly with the brethren at Kaba Forest and then alongthe coast to a new meeting place at the Gilfillan farm. Our messages werebrought by Stephen Mkachana, William Djakumene and myself. We then tookthe gravel road to Alexandria where I brought a lesson on John 3. Othermeetings v;ere held at the Bethesda church in St. Albans where I preachedon "THE NARROW WAY" and at the home of Brother Temba Lewani in Veeplaaswhose neighbors came to join us in a time of Bible study and prayer.

Last Lord's Day Brother Leve and I went to the Gamtoos River Mouth wherewe picked uo two other brethren and travelled on across the Kabeljou Riverto Boplaas." I preached on THE PLAN OF SALVATION and THE NEW LIFE IN CHRIST,Brother Jamos Giifanf baptized 4 into Christ. 2 elders and 5 deacons wereappointed from B'^plaas and the Tsitsikama Forest; and the meeting concludedwith the Lord's Supper led by Brother Love,

Construction work is going ahead on Brother Leva's home as well as churchbuildings at the Gamtoos River Mouth and Boplaas, I have led studies onthe book of Revelation at Westway Bethel Baptist church. Brother Mbengoof Uitenhage was present at the indopendence of Transkei and has heldservices there as well as at Fort Beaufort. Many congregations throughoutSouth Africa have joined in a preaching and teaching campaign in TRAI^SKBIas well as a distribution campaign of thousands of Scriptures there.

Pray that God's Spirit will continue to move mightily in South Africa.
