The Fulmore Magnet Program is a free advanced academic program within the Austin Independent School District. Our program, consisting of three hun-dred plus magnet students from all around the Austin area, is part of the 129 year old Fulmore tradition. Author-ized by AISD’s school board in 2001, Ful-more’s Humanities and Law Magnet for International Studies is one of Austin’s best kept secrets. The magnet enroll-ment includes a diverse group of stu-dents. Fulmore’s staff is trained to indi-vidualize instruction and curriculum to accommodate every child’s interests and academic goals. Project based learning and access to technology allows students to work collaboratively and to reflect critically on real world issues.

Fulmore’s Magnet Program offers a vari-ety of elective choices that correspond with the specialties of the program and allow students to receive individualized attention in their areas of interest. The three distinctive strands in law, humanities, and international studies form the basis of the electives that enrich the Magnet experience. Concepts in Eng-lish Arts and Social Studies are intertwined to support students in mak-ing deep connections about the world around them. We also offer challenging classes in-cluding Environmental Science, Forensic Science, and high school credit for Alge-bra I, Geometry, and foreign languages including Japanese, Chinese, French, Spanish, and AP Spanish.

El Programa Magnet de Fulmore ofrece una variedad de cursos electivos que cor-responden con las especialidades del pro-grama y permiten a los estudiantes reci-bir atención personalizada en sus áreas de interés. Las tres líneas distintivas en derecho, humanidades y estudios internacionales forman la base de las asignaturas opta-tivas que enriquecen la experiencia Mag-net.
