Thank you so much for choosing to support Challengers - you are truly doing something wonderful! As well as making sure that Challengers is able to continue making sure children and young people have the best possible time, the experience of raising money can be an incredibly rewarding one. At the beginning raising money can seem very daunting, and to help you overcome this our aim is always to make sure that you have the support you need to help your reach for the stars. We are a small team who pride ourselves on giving the levels of care and support needed to make the most of every opportunity. Thanks again for being amazing and good luck with your fundraising!- Duncan Wilbur, Head of Fundraising

WE ARE HERE TO HELP!We have lots of tools that can help you with your fundraising. Here's just a few examples!

Alice’s sponsored silence

I DID IT! I stayed silent for a whole week in aid of Challengers and raised over £1,000, more than double my initial target!

However, this sponsored silence was to raise more than just money, I also wanted to raise awareness of disabilities that prevent many people from being able to communicate. Most of the young people I come across at Challengers are full of joy and find other ways to express themselves and engage with the world. They are the true inspirations, and I have endless admiration for them.

9"I could not live without Challengers - It has totally changed our lives."- Fiona Blackley, Challengers Parent

"Challengers has given Lucy independence - without that support it just would have been really hard."- Barbara-Anne Chapman, Challengers Parent

“ ““Ben and Kerry’s O2 climb

Ben: Children and young people who come to Challengers face a challenge every day. These challenges may prevent them from having fun with friends, or being able to go to places to have fun. My anxiety can make me feel quite isolated. Isolation is horrible and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. I want to raise money for Challengers because I don’t want other children or young people to feel isolated.

Kerry: Ben is now challenging himself to enable other children with an impairment to have fun because he knows how good that feels.

Helen and the Fab Four

I felt I needed to do something positive in memory of my sister whilst also helping to make a difference to others. I am very lucky to have such amazing and supportive family and friends and some of those friends decided to join me for a challenge and form ‘The Fab Four’!

We chose to run for Challengers as both my sister and some of her close friends have used the fabulous facilities and services that Challengers offer and it has made a great difference to their children’s lives over the years.

THE DIFFERENCE YOU CAN MAKESee what Challengers means to Alison's family, and where your money will go towards.

““My daughter Eleanor, who’s nearly six, has been attending Challengers for almost two years and she absolutely loves it. Eleanor has complex needs - she has severe learning disabilities and autism - and needs one-to-one care. Like so many other disabled children, Eleanor simply cannot access the play opportunities and activities that are a normal part of most children’s lives. Challengers understands this, and they do so brilliantly what families like ours struggle to do – they give our children and young people a fantastic, fun-filled time in a safe environment where they will receive the care they need.

We know that when Eleanor’s at Challengers she’s having the best day that we or anyone else could possibly give her, and that in turn allows us to breathe, and do things that aren’t usually possible when we have Eleanor with us. In particular, it allows us to focus our attention on her little sister, and gives us all a bit of a break from the challenges of caring for Eleanor. We really feel we couldn’t cope without Challengers, and I know that so many other families like ours feel the same way. We are so grateful to you for choosing to fundraise for Challengers, and I’d like to personally thank you all on behalf of all the families that rely on Challengers. Thank you so much.
