A Note from our President: We invite you to attend the Georgia GMIS Conference “Cyber Wars” Spring Conference in Athens!

Our LGCIO (Local Government Chief Information Officer) leadership curriculum will be Leading in a Political Environment on Monday and Incident Response and Preparedness on Tuesday. Wednesday we will be offering Agile for Leadership. Geek Trak will run parallel to the LGCIO and this course will be covering Defensive Network Environment.

Our popular session, the Good, Bad and Ugly has been renamed to The Rundown Session. It’s still the same format, just a new name. This will be held on Monday afternoon and you are invited to listen in!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION The event location is The Graduate Athens, located at 295 Dougherty St, Athens, GA 30601. There are a limited number of tables available. In order to participate, the registration form and fee must be received by May 15, 2020. We do take credit cards through Pay Pal only. Please contact Karen Knight at [email protected] or 678-449-3088 if additional information is needed. NOTE: Do not register through the UGA/CVIOG link on the website. It is for the participants only. Sponsorship registration is by this brochure. There is no online registration.

SPACE AND PARTICIPATION IS LIMITED.

Sponsor setup will be held on Monday, June 15. Geek Trak and Entertainment Sponsors your setup will begin at 11:00 am Exhibitors: your setup will begin at 1:45 pm

Tear Down for all Sponsors will be on Wednesday, May 6 after 12:00 pm

IMPORTANT: Sponsors please note that our sponsor exhibit area will be in the Foundry Ballroom and will be tabletop only. It will be a bit snug. Your display table will be 6-feet long and you will have 2 chairs. All display materials and handouts should fit on top of this 6-foot table. You may have the roll-up screens that fit behind your table. Sponsors who bring free standing, floor displays, or large tabletop display will be asked to dismantle them. There will be no exceptions to this request.

HOTEL, LOGISTICS, LOGOS AND EXTRA ATTENDEESHotel Reservations The Graduate Athens Reservations on-line at GA GMIS Hotel Link or call 706-549-7020 and mention "Georgia Management Information Sciences (GMIS)" to get the special rate of $103 per night (plus taxes) and $5.00 parking. NOTE - A block of rooms will be held at the hotel until May 10, or until all rooms have been reserved.

Shipping Shipping, receiving or storage of any items for the conference must be arranged directly with the hotel. It is very important to include your guest name on the boxes or they will be returned. Please see the attached information for shipping details.

Electrical Electrical is provided for free and will be available at your booth. You might want to bring an extension cord if more than one outlet is needed.

Logos Please email a high-resolution copy of your logo to Karen Knight so that we may use it on our website and signage at the conference.

Extra Attendees Please note that sponsor attendees are limited to the number on your sponsorship level. If you have additional attendees, they must purchase extra passes at a cost of $300 per person. THEY MUST BE PURCHASED BEFORE THE CONFERENCE DEADLINE OF MAY 15. AFTER THIS DATE, THE COST IS $350. ALL ATTENDEES MUST HAVE AN OFFICAL GA GMIS NAME BADGE FOR ACCESS TO ALL AREAS.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY: Cancellation of registration must be made ten working days (June 5) prior to the beginning of the conference. Sponsors, who fail to cancel or attend, are liable for the full registration fee. Requests for refunds after this time will be charged a 25% processing fee. SHIPPING AND RECEIVING FORM Services: Incoming Packages, Crates, and Pallets for conferences and special events involving delivery service to Graduate Athens Hotel consists of the following:

1. Shipments to Graduate Athens are processed and placed in storage for safe keeping.

2. Upon request or pre-arranged time these items are delivered to the pre-determined Exhibit Area andplaced within the table/booth area.

Please be aware the following restrictions apply: 1. The Hotel assumes no responsibility for missing and/or damaged items.

2. The Hotel does not provide set-up and break down services for the Exhibit.

3. The Hotel does not provide packaging services at the conclusion of the event.

4. The Hotel does not provide a secure storage area for any packaging material, excess equipment, andother event related materials.

5. The Hotel does not provide security to the Exhibit Area, although doors will be locked daily uponconclusion of event.

6. The Organization on record per the contract for the event/exhibit area is the only party recognized bythe Hotel as “Client.”7. The Organization on record per the contract assumes no responsibility for your items.

Upon delivery of your packages, if we cannot locate a future reservation for the package’s recipient, the item will be returned to the sender or otherwise discarded.

We prefer the shipping of all boxes of materials to be scheduled to arrive at the hotel no earlier than one week (7 days) prior to your arrival. Due to limited storage space in our hotel, please ensure that your shipments arrive no earlier than seven (7) days prior to arrival, as we may not be able to accept packages that arrive any earlier.

Should a package arrive after departure or not be claimed within thirty (30) days of receipt, we will attempt to contact the recipient to confirm a new ship-to address and obtain a form of payment to cover any additional shipping costs. If we are unable to reach the recipient, packages may be returned to the sender or otherwise discarded. The first three packages will be received and stored with our compliments. Special arrangements must be made in advance if you are shipping four (4) packages or more and/or your single package is over our weight limit of 100 pounds. For quantities over four packages or weight limits, storage and porterage fees will be applied to your account at the prevailing rates. Our hotel is not responsible for the safe or timely arrival of any package sent to the hotel. It is the guest’s responsibility to check on the arrival of any packages and to check to ensure that the contents are intact. Our hotel accepts no liability for lost, stolen or damaged boxes or other parcels. It is the responsibility of the vendor to have pre-paid shipping labels on all outgoing packages that will need to be shipped out upon conclusion of the event. Vendor must contact carrier for pick-up. This is not the responsibility of the hotel. All packages must be picked up by Carrier of choice within 5 days of conference end.

Items left behind for longer than 5 days will incur an additional storage fee of $10.00 per day, per package that will be billed to the personal credit card on file.

For unclaimed packages or items left behind longer than 5 days after a guest departs, the Front Office Manager will call the guest or the shipper to obtain information to forward the packages. Any forwarding charges incurred are the sole responsibility of the guest and will not be paid for by the hotel
