16th Sunday in Ordinary Time
16th Sunday in Ordinary Time
“...come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest awhile.” (MARK 6:31) Do you spend time eve-ry day, alone and in silence, listening to how God is calling you? If not, you are missing out on a wonderful opportunity to develop a more personal relationship with Him. Unless we talk, and more importantly, lis-ten, to God every day, how else will we know how He is calling us? Consider making a retreat this year, and spend some “alone” time with God.

In this Sunday‟s Gospel, Jesus tells his disciples to “Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest awhile.” Vincent de Paul, a great man of action, was also a contemplative. His contemplation of God‟s love overflowed into practical love for the poor.
Please say a special prayer for the poor and forgotten as you place your gift in the Socie-ty of St. Vincent de Paul poor box.
~ School Box Tops ~
We continue to collect “Box Tops for Educa-tion” (found on various General Mills and Betty Crocker foods) and Campbell‟s Soup product labels (we need the front label with the logo). We earn money and/or points that help sponsor student events. They can be sent in to school with your child or dropped off at the entrance to St. Louis Church. Thank you!
