Dear & Distinguished Mauritius Conference Delegates,
Welcome to the beautiful country of Mauritius!
After visiting Mauritius, Mark Twain once famously said, ‘Mauritius was made first, then heaven was copied from it’. Indeed, it gives us great pleasure and honor to extend our warmest New Year greetings to you all! Hearty welcome to you to the Fifth International Conference on Global Business, Economics, Finance & Social Sciences & The International Conference on Tourism, Hospitality and Marketing organized by the Global Business Research Journals (GBRJ) with the moral support of SDM Institute for Management Development, Mysore from 21-23 January 2016 in the beautiful country of Mauritius. Mauritius is a high-class travel destination for young couples and business visitors from all over the world. Mauritius has many world-class attractions such as hotels/tourist attractions which includes beaches, breath-taking views of hills and valleys. Of course, one cannot afford to miss the green gardens, forests and high-class restaurants. A very friendly tour & transport operators, tourist guides and cops who are very supportive and helpful to anyone who is visiting the country. Situated off the southeast coast of African mainland, Mauritius is nearly 900 km east of the island of Madagascar. This beautiful Mauritius covers an area of nearly 1,864 sq. km in Indian Ocean and is covered with some excellent lagoons, coral reefs and golden beaches. Along with Mauritius Island, islands of St. Brandon, Rodrigues and the Agalega

Islands are also a part of Republic of Mauritius. The culture of Mauritius bears influence of Indian, Chinese and European cultures. You will be amazed to know the number of festivals of different religions that are celebrated in Mauritius. Global Issues! The mother earth is facing various issues that warrant urgent action from the global community. Poverty, climate change & global warming, environmental issues, Third-World debt, ageing population & its impact on the economy, global financial instability, higher levels of sovereign debts, mounting non-performing assets (NPAs) of the banking & financial institutions, rising unemployment among the masses including jobless growth, deepening income inequality, immigrant issues being confronted by select European economies, growing imbalances in the world economy and the regional economic challenges faced by different continents are a few issues worth mentioning, here. These global issues and economic challenges cannot be resolved by a single country. So, you need a strong, visionary leadership and unity. Tourism Industry! In the same way, tourism offers greater employment opportunities, promotes small and medium scale industries, helps sale of handicrafts and other locally manufactured products. Many industries such as transportation, hotel, retail shops and other hospitality sector businesses thrive totally relying on the tourism industry. So, tourism is a key driver of vibrant economic activity and progress to many global economies. In this backdrop, we are proud to organize these two great conference in this great city of Ebene-Mauritius. I am sure delegates will have a greater academic treat and networking opportunity at the conference. Once again, my sincere thanks and warm welcome to one and all. Best regards, Dr. Elango Rengasamy, Conference Director, Fifth Asia-Pacific Conference on Global Business, Economics, Finance and Social Sciences & International Conference on Tourism, Hospitality and Marketing (21-23 January, 2016) Hennessy Park Hotel, 65 Ebene Cybercity, Mauritius.
