Program OverviewMicrochip's Global Design Partner Program (DPP) capitalizes on the combined strengths of Microchip and its world-class Design Partner network, which ranges from small design houses to large international corporations. Through the Microchip DPP, Microchip identifies, re-cruits and supports partners who provide market-leading embedded software and hardware design services, reference designs and full turnkey manufacturing services implementing Microchip’s embedded technology solutions.

Microchip’s Worldwide Design Partner network provides a channel between our authorized Design Partners and customers in need of technical expertise and cost-effective solutions in a timely manner. Our customers receive access to a network of experts needed throughout their design life cycle and service engagement while partners benefit from an expanded customer base, increased revenue stream and the ability to differentiate themselves in today’s competitive marketplace.

Microchip’s Design Partner Program offers two different compensation options. Depending on your company’s business model, you may choose between a financial compensation (commission) option, and a discount-based (non-commission) option. Typically, businesses with high-volume, low-mix products choose the commission option, while those with low-volume, high-mix offerings choose the non-commission model. Regardless of what fits your business model the best, Microchip rewards its partners for leading and designing with their broad product portfolio, which now supports PIC®, ARM®, and MIPs-based MCUs.
