Pulling a Fast One on Oregon Forests - write Senators Merkley and Wyden about the so-called "Resilient Federal Forest Act" today!

Tell them to oppose U.S. House Bill 2936. The bill would gut our country's most importantenvironmental laws by expanding the size of "Categorical Exclusion" zones. These zones allowagencies to bypass key requirements in our environmental laws, which means logging projectscould take place without public involvement or scientific review of environmental impacts. Thislogging loophole would apply to projects up to 45 square miles in size!!! For context, that's largerthan the city limits of Eugene, or an area nearly 429 times larger than the traditional 70 acreexemption for logging projects on public land.
