St. Anthony of Padua Church ~ www.sapparish.org ~ The Most Holy Trinity ~ June 11, 2017
God so loved the world that he gave his only Son.
The life and teachings of Jesus reveal to us that God the Father,
Son and Holy Spirit are a community of persons who live together
as one in a perfect unity of life and love with one another. As
such, we are called to model our lives on the Most Holy Trinity
by seeking to give God glory in all we do and by living in love
and unity with God and with one another.
In todays first reading from Exodus, the Lord revealed himself to Moses directly as kind, merciful and
slow to anger. In the second reading, Saint Paul stresses to the Corinthians the importance of living in
peace. The Gospel reminds us that God so loved the world that he
gave his only Son so that all who believe in him might have eternal
life.
Feast of St. Anthony Celebration:
All are invited to join us Tuesday, June
13, at 12:10 pm. We will celebrate the

Padua is going on now. To
join us pick up a copy of
the novena from the rear of
the church or you can find
it on our website.

All are invited to spend time with Jesus
in the Eucharist. Eucharistic Adoration
is each Friday from 8:45 to 11:45 am.

Prayer to the Most Holy Trinity
O God, Thou who art one in nature and
three in persons, Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit, first cause and last end of all
creatures, the infinite Good,
incomprehensible and ineffable, my
Creator, my Redeemer, and my
Sanctifier, I believe in Thee, I hope in
Thee, and I love Thee with all my
heart. In the midst of Thine infinite
happiness, Thou didst choose me,
through no merits of mine, in
preference to countless other creatures,
who would doubtless have
corresponded with Thy blessings better
than I have done; Thou didst love me
from eternity; and when my hour
in time had come, Thou didst draw me
from nothingness into earthly existence
and didst bestow upon me Thy grace,
as a pledge of everlasting life.
From the depths of my misery, I adore
Thee and I give Thee thanks. Thy holy
Name was invoked over my cradle to
be my profession of faith, my plan of
action, and the only goal of my earthly
pilgrimage; grant, O most Holy Trinity,
that I may ever be inspired by this
faith, and may carry out this plan with
perseverance, so that, when I have
reached the end of my journey upon
earth, I may be able to fix my gaze
upon the blessed splendors of
Thy glory. Amen.

What does the Church say?
Catechism of the Catholic Church ~ Paragraph 237
The Trinity is a mystery of faith in the strict sense, one of the
"mysteries that are hidden in God, which can never be known unless
they are revealed by God". To be sure, God has left traces of his
Trinitarian being in his work of creation and in his Revelation
throughout the Old Testament. But his inmost Being as Holy Trinity
is a mystery that is inaccessible to reason alone or even to Israel's
faith before the Incarnation of God's Son
and the sending of the Holy Spirit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Finally, brothers, rejoice. Mend your ways, encourage one
another, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God
of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a
holy kiss. All the holy ones greet you. The grace of the Lord
Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the
Holy Spirit be with all of you.
Prayer for Priests
Dear Lord,
We pray that the
Blessed Mother will
wrap her mantle of
protection around
Your priests and
through her interces-
sion may they be
strengthened in their
ministry.
We pray that Mary
will guide Your priests,
dear Lord, to follow
her own words, Do
whatever He tells you.
May Your priests have
the heart of St. Joseph,
Marys most chaste
spouse. May the
Blessed Mothers own
pierced heart inspire
them to embrace all
who suffer at the foot
of the holy cross for the
love of God the Father.
May Your priests be
Holy, as you are holy,
And through the power
of the Holy Spirit,
may they be filled with
the fire of Your love
seeking nothing but
Your greater glory
and the salvation of
souls. Amen!
