MONITORING INFRASTRUCTURE

On-site design of a communication project

The GPM Project service studies the status of your renewa-ble energy plants and provides advice on the solution that will best meet your needs. We create the design for the communications project that will be best for your renew-able energy plant, completely free of charge.

Documents we provide in this initial review:

We analyze all of the parameters such as distribution or layout, topology, existing inverters and meters and other components that could be reused to make them compat-ible with our hardware (DAM). We will custom design your communications system, taking into account the cables and hardware you already have installed.

Based on the various scenarios we recommend in our technical proposal, we will provide you with a detailed budget of the total costs for installing new GPM Moni-toring products in your plant. The installation budget will take into account the cost of GPM Commissioning, GPM Metering (if necessary), GPM Monitoring and other optional products you may decide to purchase.

Installation of our hardware and launching of the monitoring system.

The GPM Commissioning service is an installation service made up of two differentiated parts:

GreenPowerMonitor installs its own hardware, the DAM (Data Acquisition Module) adapting it to each client. In our specialized electronic board shop, our team of engineers adapts the DAM to be connected to plant components and to record and transmit the information needed for it to be properly monitored.

Our specialized system installation and launch team will come to your plants and install the DAMs necessary for monitoring them. The Commissioning Team is made up of highly qualified engineers capable of resolving any is-sues on-site in order to make sure the product is properly installed.

GPM Monitoring is GreenPowerMonitor’s series of cus-tomized monitoring tools. Once installed, all of the data they collect is automatically sent to the GPM server. Green-PowerMonitor’s solutions give you integrated control over all of your facilities, in real-time from anywhere around the world.

GPM Monitoring Solutions:

GPM PV PORTAL

A perfect product for integrating the monitoring of multi-ple plants in a single tool. Its alarm monitor lets you quickly detect any anomalies in the monitored system without having to be connected to our portal.

When a monitored component sends data that is outside of the parameters you established and configured before-hand, an alarm goes off. You will be sent an SMS or an email notifying you of the incident. The origin of the error can be detected by plant and area, and even by compo-nent, so that maintenance can service it as soon as pos-sible.

GPM PV+

GPM PV+ is the solution for integrated and unified man-agement of multiple renewable energy plants. The pro-gram lets you schedule preventive maintenance, apply corrective maintenance based on the alerts you have con-figured and control the progress of your business plan in comparison with performance and production. Its disembedding technology makes its Control Room format possible, which lets you view the tools on differ-ent screens and operate plants simultaneously. You can access your data at any time and view it to process it continuously, so that you can improve the performance of your renewable energy plants, thus increasing your profits. Its alarm monitor lets you quickly detect (via SMS and email notifications) any anomalies in the monitored system without having to be connected to our program.

On top of this, it also lets you configure personalized components obtained based on calculations of the stored data. You will get an instant, up-to-date view of relevant data such as PR (performance ratio), availability and total power produced. PV+ lets you generate pro-duction reports, evaluate how efficiently incidents are resolved, record and store intervention reports from on-site plant operators, and get historical data for business intelligence studies.

GPM PV SCADA

GPM SCADA is the complete solution for Renewable Plant Monitoring and Management. Get up-to-the-second in-formation on the production performance of your plant. Interpret your plant’s status through visual and intuitive graphics that allow for quick and effective analysis.

The platform provides an immediate reading of data which minimizes reaction time. Its proprietary command module can act directly on remote devices to change their state immediately.

Its window undock technology provides a Control Room format: displaying plant components and functional mod-ules over multiple screens and providing an invaluable global overview of the status of the plant portfolio. Thanks to the alarm manager any anomaly in the monitored sys-tem can be quickly detected even when not connected to the platform (by way of SMS messages and emails).

For further analysis historical data of change in state of the elements or devices can be exported and follow-up stud-ies of events can be carried out.

Integration means improving our service

GreenPowerMonitor offers its clients a service that inte-grates the data from different elements which are not necessarily GreenPowerMonitor hardware.

For example, we integrate data with a cellular or TCP-IP connection from the meters in your renewable energy plant, without the need for monitoring hardware. And we also integrate data captured via satellite (irradiance and insolation) and use it in the platform to measure performance and availability when direct measurements from plants are not available.

GreenPowerMonitor also integrates your management program with other key software used by your company. GPM Integrity will become invaluable in the GPM Project process; when we conduct the status study of your plant and propose the best solution in our technical proposal, we will include this optional service.

Remote production reading without monitoring hardware

Data can be incorporated from meters located in a plant without having to install monitoring hardware. To do this, a cellular or TCP-IP connection must be established to read the meters remotely and to be able to view the data in the GPM PV Portal.

To provide this service, a study must be conducted of the plant beforehand, and of the elements that will need to be monitored remotely.

The GPM PV Portal is a real-time monitoring program that centralizes all of the plant production data and status information. It can be accessed at www.green-powermonitor.com by going to the GPM PV Portal to review the current data remotely. BMD is a low cost monitoring device for small installations (below 50KW), easy to set up by installers.

BMD has been designed for inverter monitoring, weather measurements and two pulse input, especially attractive in countries where consumed energy and generated energy have different prices.

BMD will send monitored data to GPM servers, so GreenPowerMonitor service will be provided to customers. This GreenPowerMonitor service can be based in the GPM-Mon-itoring or GPM PV+, but it will always give an access to the maintenance companies, as well as the final customers.

BMD has capacity to store 170.000 variables in a 8 MB backup memory in case of hav-ing no communication with GPM servers.

Due to the modular design, the DAM is able to gather data from any device in your installation. It can be from a communication interface, analog inputs, digital inputs, pulse, etc. The DAM retrieves, stores and sends information. sentence. To be immune against communication failures in the Ethernet or cellular network a memory card is recommended so as not to lose data and to recover this data auto-matically from the GreenPowerMonitor Servers at a later date. Data adquisition systems based on IA240/241 offer an easily scalable architecture to meet all require-ments. Modules (such as Iologik) can be connected to the system to provide additional inputs and outputs to measure analog and digital signals, temperature, etc.

The IA240/241 embedded computers are designed for industrial automation applications. The comput-ers feature 4 RS-232/422/485 serial ports, dual LANs, 4 digital input channels, 4 digital output channels, and a PCMCIA cardbus and SD socket in a compact, IP30 protected, industrial-strength rugged housing.

The IA240/241’s vertical DIN-rail form factor makes it easy to install the computers in a small cabinet. This space-saving solution also facilitates easy wiring, making the IA240/241 a great choice as front-end embedded controllers for industrial applications.

Wide temperature models of the IA240/241 are also available. The IA240-T and IA241-T can operate reli-ably in a temperature range from -40 to 75°C, making them appropriate for harsh industrial automation environments.

The industrial design of the IA240/IA241 provides a robust, reliable computing platform. Due to their RISC-based architecture, the IA240/IA241 computers will not generate a lot of heat, making them ideal for industrial automation environments.
