Morning Message: Happy Marvelous Monday! Monday Message  Folktales, Fairy Tales, Fables...Oh My!!! We will work on reading more folktales, fairy tales, and  Fables this week!! Are you ready to learn about the countries where these stories came from?  Get ready to take a reading trip Around the World!!

countries around the world.  ❏ Listen to the Folktale Stone Soup by Marcia Brown. This story originally takes place in a  

village on the continent of Europe.  ❏ Summarize the story Stone Soup using this Story Summary Organizer .

hunt using the folktale Stone Soup!! Fold a paper into 3 columns and label them  Person/Animal, Place, Thing. Make a list of the nouns you found in the story and write  them in the correct column/label. Print the Doc, use plain paper OR use the editable copy in Google classroom!  

Social Studies:  ❏ This version of Stone Soup written by Marcia Brown was based on an old French tale.  

France is one of the countries on the continent of Europe. Take a look at this book about  France to learn some interesting facts about this country in Europe!!

road. The distance to get home was 305 miles. They found a village after 189 miles. How  many more miles are left until they get home?

Morning Message: Happy Terrific Tuesday! Aka~ Twisted Tale Tuesday! Terrific Tuesday!  Today you are going to read 2 tales about a man with a terrific talent-Rumplestiltskin! One is the  original story and one is that same story with a twist.

Wednesday, June 10, 2020  Interdisciplinary Lesson: Aesop’s Fables  

Morning Message: Happy Wonderful Wednesday! Wonderful Wednesday!  Let’s go back in time to ancient Greece, where a clever man named Aesop wrote his famous  Aesop’s Fables. One well-known fable told over and over again is “The Ant and the Grasshopper”  It is a fable about a hard-working ant and a lazy grasshopper. We will also review adjectives  today. Adjectives are words that describe nouns (shape, size, color, personality, etc.) Can you  find 9 adjectives in this Morning Message?

Thursday, June 11, 2020  Interdisciplinary Lesson: MiXeD Up FaIrY TaLe DaY  

Morning Message: Happy Thrilling Thursday! Thursday Message  Things have gotten a little mixed up this week with some of the tales! Today, it’s even more  twisted!! Both choices are MiXeD uP! Enjoy a twisted version of two tales mixed together. You’re  sure to get a giggle out of either one. Then, you’ll design a brochure of a foreign “folktale” land  highlighting landmarks, food, culture, sporting events or anything of interest! Maybe someday  you might even travel there!
