2. Identify safer and affordable alternatives that you might want to consider and share the information with your classmates. You

can also share your personal brand experiences on the alternatives they identify to help provide us with more information about

these brands.

One surprising thing that I encounter early on in this subject, Green Marketing, is the truth about the dangerous chemicals

and toxins lurking in the personal care and beauty products that I use every single day. This knowledge can be somewhat shocking

and overwhelming at first. I know it was for me. If we are going to invest so much time and money in our personal care and

appearance, doesn't it makes sense to do so in a productive way that doesn't harm ourselves or our environment?

Some alternatives that I want to consider are just small changes in routines that can somewhat inspire others and make most

people safe. First option would be making your own beauty treatments at home. If you are keen to escape the marketing hype and

save yourself some money you can always go into your kitchen and create some of your own beauty treatments. Second is by simply

looking for certified organic products. Using organically produced ingredients ensures that not only are your cosmetics healthy for

the environment, but it also means you don't have to worry about your skin absorbing chemical residues either. Choose petroleumfree products like beeswax instead of lip gloss or lip balm. The use of aluminium free deodorant like Milcu, which I personally use

and recommend, must be considered too. Try using natural deodorant brands that don't contain aluminium, or try the crystal stick

which uses natural mineral salts.
