Our Rotary goal to Make Dreams Real will happen when we work together to improve child mortality through emphasis on literacy, health and hunger, and clean water. Congratulations to the Paw Paw

Lake Rotary Club for being 100% Paul Harris

Fellows!

Page 2 Dear Rotary friends, I am now home with my wife and children. I flew safely Monday with Mhon. Hazel went ahead of everybody while Anthony and Kitchie will follow soon. I told my family how blessed we were while in America with wonderful hosts like you. I have been telling them of our great activities and exciting places visited in our month-long stay in Michigan. Truly, this program of Rotary of social, cultural and professional visits is so rewarding, career-enhancing and life- changing. Honestly, we cannot repay your generosity and kindness to the group. Perhaps only in keeping faith to Rotary's ideals and principles of SERVICE and FRIENDSHIP, we can reciprocate to all your goodness to us. Just let us know of any future plans to visit the Philippines. By meeting you at the airport and a simple dinner are our privilege and pleasure. Wishing you the best of everything always. Sincerely, Reggie

This note is from our Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar from Albion College to Oxford. He is an Eagle Scout, so, of course, he was my first pick for the award. After he arrives at O my DGE

xford, counterpart, will host a reception for all incoming Scholars.

i Renee,

ope that your summer’s been going well. How have things been as District

DGMake Dreams Real H HGovernor? I wanted to keep you posted on my plans for graduate school and Rotary. Oxford has accepted me to their engineering program after I finished interviewing with them just a few weeks ago, and I am about finished getting all of the immigration paperwork together to send to Rotary HQ. This weekend, I will be going to Philadelphia to attend the orientation for outgoing scholars. After I am assigned to a particular host counselor, I am really looking forward to getting involved with the Excitement of Science and PolioPlus programs in the Oxford community. Thank you for all of your help with the Scholarship and for your support. Best regards, Steven

MAY 2008 ATTENDANCE

District and Club Data Base (DaCdb) replaces ClubRunner for the District! www.dacdb.com Dear Club Secretaries: Please be advised that as of July 1, 2008, the District will no longer be using ClubRunner. We have switched to a new site described above. I am requesting all secretaries to put their June attendance on this new site. The good news about this site is that you can make one entry for a new member or terminate a member, and those changes automatically are sent to the District site and RI. Also, any changes you or a member make on this new site will be orwarded to both.
