WHEN CAN I REGISTER?Member registration begins on February 22 and non-member registration on March 7. Please note that reg-istration will only be accepted by mail. Phone-in\faxed registrations will not be accepted. Spaces are limited and are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registra-tions are processed in the order they are received (by postmark). A registration form is incomplete if it is not signed for each individual participant.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY CHILD GETS INTO CAMP?We will start processing registrations for members on February 22 and non-members on March 10. Once we have received the full registration (signed form and full payment) you will receive a confirmation packet.

CAN MY CHILD COME TOMORE THAN ONE SESSION?The theme and programming remain the same all sum-mer. Should a child wish to attend again, please be aware that they will be experiencing the same program.

WHAT IF I WANT MY CHILD IN THE SAME CAMP AS A FRIEND?If you would like your child to be placed in the same session as another, you must mail all completed reg-istration forms together in the SAME envelope. This is due to overwhelming response and processing of registrations. PLEASE NOTE: Member registrations that are mailed with non-member registrations will both be processed after the non-members date.

CAN I ENROLL MY CHILD IN AN OLDER AGE GROUP?Our camps are age appropriate and we adhere to all age requirements.

WHAT IF THE CAMP I WANT IS FULL?We have a waiting list for each camp. However, there is no guarantee that a space will become available. If you wish to be put on the waiting list, fill out a registration form, mail it in with out payment making note that you would like to be put on the waiting list. We will call if we can get you into the camp.

HOW SHOULD MY CHILD DRESS?Children should dress comfortably, with closed-toe shoes. Campers will go out into the Zoo quite often. We take plenty of water and cool-down breaks. Camp-ers will receive a T-Shirt which is included in the camp fee. (We will not be able to exchange any sizes. T-Shirts are pre-shrunk). A class photo will be taken on the sec-ond day of camp and we request that all campers wear their T-Shirts on that day. Also, remember that if it rains, bring rain coats only. Please, no umbrellas or flip flops.

WILL THERE BE A SNACK BREAK?Yes, please pack a snack for your child. If your child is not accustomed to having a snack, it is still suggested that you send something. We have found in the past that when a child arrives with no snack and everyone else is eating, they also want something. Please keep in mind that campers will not be able to purchase any-thing from the snack bar.

WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS ALLERGIES?Please be sure you make us aware of any allergies your child may have. If they have a severe allergy and carry an Epi-pen, they must report to camp with an ALLERGY ACTION PLAN from their doctor prior to their first day of camp. There are no exceptions! The instructor will car-ry the instructions and Epi-pen with them at all times. If you have any questions, please call 467-4850.

HOW ARE CAMPERS SUPERVISED?Campers are supervised at all times. There are volun-teers and an instructor for every classroom.

WILL MY CHILD GET TO TOUCH ZOO ANIMALS OR GO BEHIND-THE-SCENES?The staff uses a variety of animals for Zoo Camp. Campers will have the opportunity to touch many of them during camp. The behind-the-scenes tours are limited to certain areas for the safety of the children and the animals.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT DROPPING MY CHILD OFF FOR CAMP?You will receive detailed information concerning classroom location and how to drop your child off in your confirmation packet. MAY I STAY WITH MY CHILD?Parents are required to stay with children that are regis-tered for our Kinder Camp (3 yr. olds) only. If your child is registered for another camp and cannot remain in camp with out you for more than a few minutes, please wait another year.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PICKING MY CHILD UP FROM CAMP?Pick up will not take place at the front gate. Please refer to the “PICK UP MAP” in confirmation packet for further details. Please remember this is for the safety of all the children.

WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE OR CANCEL?Participants must provide a written notice to the Educa-tion Department at least three weeks prior to the pro-gram date for participants to qualify for a 50% refund. Those wishing to cancel one camp reservation and make another for a different session must provide the same written notification at least three weeks prior to the scheduled camps. There is a $10 rescheduling fee pending camp availability. No refunds will be given for cancellations less than three weeks prior to camp date.
