Ten minutes’ walk from Tower Hill tube station, which is also served by several bus routes. 2. 10.30: visit to the Catholic Church of the English Martyrs, Tower Hill, Tower Hamlets, site of former works by the modern apostolic congregations the Poor Servants of the Mother of God, and the Sisters of the Holy Family of Bordeaux.

4. 11.30: Go north to St Helen’s Church, Bishopsgate, in the City of London (Medieval Benedictine abbey. Uniquely in London, part of the nuns’ church is still in use, as an Anglican Church). 5. 12.15: Break for lunch at Liverpool Street Station. Tube to Euston Square.

6. 13.15: Visit St Aloysius Catholic Church, Somers Town, Camden and the working convents of the Poor Servants of the Mother of God and the Faithful Companions of Jesus, Somers Town, Camden.7. 14.00: Visit to the Anglican Church of St Mary’s Somers Town, see altar donated by the Community of St Mary the Virgin, Wantage. Bus 253 to Camden Town.

8. 14.15: Go north to the edge of Regent’s Park, in Park Village West is the (former) convent of the Holy Cross Sisters (1845), the first modern Anglican congregation. Bus 88 to Euston Road.

9. 15.00: Finish at the site of St Saviour’s Hospital, Munster Square, Euston the first purpose-built convent in the Anglican communion, administered over the years by a number of Anglican communities. We finish close to multiple transport links (tube, bus, train. Great Portland Street and Warren Street tube stations nearby).
