DESCRIPTION
On 8-13 September, 47 Habitat volunteers and Ms. Karen Mok, our Build Ambassador, went to Mayan village, Qionglai, a rural village which was severely destroyed by the Sichuan earthquake followed by continuous rainstorms. Upon our team’s arrival, what have caught their eyes were countless mutilated farm houses lying along the hillside. The broken weather for days could only make our team to be more determined to give support to the villagers. After warm-up exercise every morning, our volunteers were divided into four groups to handle building materials, mix cement and lay bricks, etc.
