Text features are animportant feature to anyreading. While you arereading, do you see titles,charts, photos, captions,headlines, bold or italicizedprint? THOSE ARE TEXTFEATURES!

If you learn how toidentify text features and usethem prior to reading a text,you will improve yourcomprehension.

During the readingprocess, you will use the textfeatures to locate essentialinformation from the text. Themore times you process theinformation given, the morelikely you are going to retainthe information.
