Garden Brigade COMRADESHIP AND TEAMWORK

Deep in snow and ice, it’s hard to remember the bright colours of the church

garden in summer. But something else grows there too - this month’s

“flower of the month” is the comradeship and teamwork in the new garden

team.

In this picture it is mid-July, the spring flowers are starting to fade, the

sumac in the background is bright green, soon to have its deep red flowers.

Sally, Matt, Lynne and Jennifer are caught unawares by the camera,

working together on the slope re-organizing plantings around new

flagstones donated by Geoff to provide a pathway for the hydro meter

readers.

And now the team are starting to consider garden plans for 2019, starting

off with a plant sale in early spring, and likely continuing last year’s

successful schedule, 2 Saturdays + 2 Tuesdays each month starting in

spring.
